>Platinum Egoiste
Wtf I thought I wanted this, smelled amazing on paper, on myself it was so damn pissy. What a let down
>H24 Parfum
I imagine you fags want to know about this one. Well, for one it's better than the edt, it's literally a fairly sweet banana, that's it, smells like banana and nothing else, less synthetic at least. If you want to smell like a banana this is the frag for you. Otherwise it's a total meme.
>Cool Water Intense
didn't smell shit, will have to go back
>Davidoff Cool Water Reborn
smelled terrible, nothing alike CW either
>Davidoff Zino
smelled good, unfortunately it is a bit off limit as it's my gf dad's frag
>Aspen
this shit is EXACTLY like CW, crazy.
>Drakkar Noir
smelled good, not as soapy as Sung but good, might get it (she was selling a 100 ml bottle for like 80 lmao)
>Prada L'homme
too subtle but nice I guess
>Prada Luna Rossa
newage NPC sweet shit, cringe as I remembered it, why did I even try this
>ADP Colonia Essenza/Intensa/Futura
for the anon who asked. idk why intensa is so highly rated, smelled the worst fo the 3, it's borderline pissy like Kouros but tuned down a bit, if that's your thing get it. Futura is nice. Essenza is the best IMO, if you want a simple, refined citrusy aromatic scent you can't really go wrong with this, absolutely great.
>Eau Sauvage Parfum/Extreme
the best is the parfum even over the edt, while extreme sucks ass, completely different too. don't bother.
>Ferrari Forte
Nice and fruity, reminded me of something I have already tried
>Ferrari Uomo
Meh, didn't smell like Fahrenheit at all to me. Why I tried a fahrenheit clone while owning Fahrenheit is beyond me
>Pour un Homme de Caron
I sadly didn't like it, smells just like lavender, which is something my mom used as a clothes freshner
>Caron 3 e
don't remember, I think I liked it better than homme but still didn't do it for me
>Caron Aimez Moi
The employee insisted I try this. gourmand (?) hazelnut, not my thing but sweet

Where did you get to try H24 EDP?
>didn't smell shit
That's weird considering CWI is the CW flanker with the best overall performance. I don't think it's very good, it's pretty cheap-smelling and comes off as sunscreen-y with some synthetic mandarin.
>>17212916

Update: DHP's drydown is far better than the opening, the leather settles nicely into the florals, the iris especially stands out more, making the earthy vibe much less jarring and also making the fragrance less intense and loud. I still wouldn't wear it but it's way better than I initially thought, also seems considerably stronger than DHI which as far as I can tell has become a skin scent. Weird, considering how the DH line's performance is lauded by everyone.
The problem with DHP is that you pretty much need to wait more than an hour before the initially discordant scent (to my nose) becomes something harmonious and well-blended. Right now I actually get the hype.

Reposting my shilling from the last thread
Vintage sample bottles of Amouage Gold Man on ebay for $12.
I grabbed a few for myself as ive always wanted to experience the vintage formula.
Indolic florals, power, skanky resins and a huge dose of civet and moss in the base.
Vintage bottles go for $500+ so if you have ever wanted to try this now is your chance.

The majority of these I had never seen irl before, I stumbled into this old school perfumery with these cheapies like it was fucking 1990, I swear she has motherfucking Cerruti, Aspen, Ferrari, tons of discontinued frags, just soooo many "rare" ones, I said I will come back. What's autistic is that they have the "I take the frag and spray it on a strip/yourself for you" retarded policy, so I just outretarded her by asking her to fetch me many frags. I even apologised and she said it's her job, I mean if you don't want to hand me so mnay frags just let me sample in peace. Tested around 10 this way, didn't buy shit and told them I'll be back. They FEAR the autist.

I will eventually get into DIY perfumery, but i want to distill my own natural and synthetic extracts. Sounds like the perfect hobby for me: going out in nature ,smelling around, looking for specific plants and flowers, harvesting them, then taking them to the lab and extracting their scents, then trying different mixes to obtain the perfect fragrance.

Both activities are already part of my life anyway, this sounds very interesting and engaging as a hobby, multidisciplinary, quite unique and artsy too. And if I'm good at it I could try and sell them for 500 bucks a bottle as niche handmade frags. I WILL spam them here until it's the new BI and you all will own it. This is a promise.

Hermes announces H24 eau de parfum
>Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel created this new fragrance aiming to reveal intense strength; the signature of new energy.
>The composition is announced as aromatic and woody, "based on the vegetal and generous power of an enveloping sage, a dense high-tech moss, and a warm and vibrant Sclarene," the brand explains.
>The composition's notes are oakmoss, the Sclarène molecule, Brazilian rosewood, clary sage, and narcissus.
>The original bottle with its pure lines, designed by Philippe Mouquet, is adorned with a "moss green” lacquer, echoing the olfactory notes.

Get a glass tube and some unscented butane and make extractions with the butane hash oil method. After the butage evaporates you can mix the resin with some alcohol to make it easier to work with. This will give you all the benifits of liquid co2 extraction has over reflux distillation but without needing expensive equipment to work with liquid co2. Ok so I tried out this bad boy today. Royal Copenhagen 1775 Monarch. From the back of the box:
A true symbol of power and leadership, Monarch evokes the strength and masculinity of a modern sovereign. The fragrance features bold white pepper and cool mint blossom infused with masculine woods and rich sensual suede.

It definitely isn't a strong, room filling scent. It stays close to the skin with a pillowy soft vanilla spice. I've seen notes mention blond woods, and I would say this scent makes me think of middle Autumn when the nights get cold and the days breezy and cloudy. At first the mint wasn't prominent but I did get it in wafts and waves throughout the day, a light menthol breeze that lingers in the back of the nose like the ghost of spearmint past. Would I say this is a scent that commands a room like a gilded king's presence? Definitely not. But I would say this is the perfect scent for a man looking to have a cozy evening in by the fire, or at an intimate dinner for two. Definitely worth the $15.

Headshops sell bottles of it by the case these days. You can get the glass extractor tubes and the other materials you need from dozens of websites (or the same headshops)
It definitely not an item of interest to any govt agencies.
Its totally different than the situation in the south where some glass lab ware associated with meth production like vacuum funels are controled or illegal to possess.
It will absolutely work with any dried ground up plant material you just cant use it on organic matter with high moisture content like freshly picked flowers because the water will freeze and obstruct the tube.
Anyway im just spit balling because co2 extractions are so trendy in perfumery these days. You would be at the cutting edge of diy fragrance extract production.

Start small, get a couple empty 2ml roller bottles, a couple skin safe essential oils that you think smell good, mix a drop of this, 5 drops of that in a little roller bottle and cut 50% with clarified coconut oil (the stuff that's liquid at room temperature) you should be able to find it at your grocery store.
I really only have messed around with that end of things. Im not a huge all natural perfume fan but i think that's the easiest way to start out. With the aroma chems you have to get equipment, make dilutions to learn how things smell at different concentrations, get a decent sized pallete of aroma chems to get started. Im not opposed to the idea but you have to be somewhat committed to go down that route.

There is definitely a tradeoff involved i mean you can dry herbs flowers etc in a cuple of days but you are correct that you will miss out on some volatile fragrance compouds. But that said you will get more out of it that you might think. I would say yeilds will be roughly similar to steam distillation. And with steam distillation you are introducing heat which will break down some aromatic compounds where the butane will be a icy cold liquid.
>is it a matter of quantity?

It’s kind of hard to take somebody seriously when something as innocuous as Bois Imperial makes them upset. I guess Bois Imperial is synonymous for life itself… Bichads are able to appreciate the fragrance for what it is instead of criticising it for what it isn’t… Anons shilling BI may be annoying, but it comes from a good place, they are enjoying a fragrance and enjoying life…

It makes me wonder, do the antiBI schizos enjoy life? They are so filled with hate. This hate only makes the Bichads stronger. It’s kinda like starwars or some shit. They don’t seem to understand that it’s ok for different people to enjoy different things. You can enjoy Bois Imperial and other fragrances to.

Invictus Victory - free sample:
Very close to Eros but without the disgusting bile note and some sweet chocolate/coffee notes instead. Overall an absolutely redundant fragrance which just mixes up the current popular things. A sweet crowdpleaser mix. Best part about it is the sample vial, since it's a 5 mL splash bottle in the shape of the big bottle. Kinda cool, it's just that other fragrances do it better.
If you want more vanilla (and bile), go for Eros. If you want more choci/coffee, go for Ferragamo Uomo Signature. If you want more lavender-vanilla-tonka, go for Le Male Le Parfum. If you want more of the spicy bits, go for Armani Code (or Le Male Le Parfum).

Straight woody in the drydown with some faint synthetic oud in the background.

What exactly do you mean by "stuff listed on a website". Which website and what materials are you trying to get. You mention blackberry but unless you make the accord yourself there is absolutely no way to replicate a material you get off some random website selling you some strawberry/blackberry/x/y accords, z berry "essential oil" (there are no such things) and so on (this is important because even if you only want to make a single, unrepeatable batch, if you wish to implement any advice or information on composition you won't have the correct baseline to learn using these accords or in fact copy any formulas). Moreover you don't know whats in them and how it might mix with what you're making, what percentage of irritants are in it. Ultimately they're likely to be all made with aromachemicals so if you want a more natural fragrance using these mystery material accords is not the way to go. The one exception I'll mention is bases, typically produced by the large firms they sell specific bases such as a realistic sandalwood base that you can use in your composition, they're unlikely to stop producing the base (though it has happened with bases from De Laire like Mousse de Saxe but thats history).

However, if you wanna get into the hobby then get yourself some real aromachemicals or essential oils. If you want to work with only naturals it will be a lot more expensive (look up prices of rose otto or jasmine absolute) and it will be much more challenging. If you just want to make a decent fragrance just for the fun of it then there are formulas that smell like actual perfumes, not just a shit concoction you made at home that you can make completely at home. If you want to get deep you'll want a properly regulated scientific scale but otherwise there are beginner formulas that work with "drops" from the pipette such as pic related.
