Regarding the vests, they’re objectively ugly and look like shit and I feel like that’s intentional and the people wearing them must be taking style cues from old old school NYSE / CBOE floor traders. Tech has always been anti fashion. Some of that was CaliWali rebelliousness, but a lot was just because nerds were above it all and too busy for frivolities like getting dressed while they were staying up for 72 hours straight programming. A ‘tech bro’ wearing trendy wigger sneakers for clout has simply lost his way, or maybe doesn’t belong in tech at all. Steve Jobs unironically made the best fashion choices out of anyone in tech.

This fit is definitely not for tech bros. It's for what the image says, finance bros. Tech bros usually either have an Asian Hypebeast fit on or some variation of allbirds/slim chinos or jeans/short sleeve JCrew button down/hoodie with their team's logo.
