Are there any boots that look similar to Iron Rangers that don’t absolutely destroy your soles? I have a pair of iron rangers that I wore daily for 6 months, my soles ached everyday regardless of any inserts I tried. Is there a more comfy alternative?

The feel fine on my foot. The sole is like a fucking rock. It caused me to have plantar fasciitis as well as lateral foot pain. I went from running 30 miles a week (not in these obviously) to none because of sole pain.

I tried inserts and while the did minimally relieve the pain my feet would still throb after walking in the all day. I think I’m just going to buy a pair of thorogood moc boots and call it quits. Not a fan of how they look but everyone says they have the most comfortable soles.

condition your insole, it's dense veg tan leather with minimal cork filling that simply escapes through the gaps in the stitching. wear thick wool socks only, and get stronger feet you weakling.

You do realize there are tons of shoes (and those littler rubber pad things) to help offset the effects of standing on concrete all day? Now imagine the inside of your boot feels like concrete.

The reason standing on concrete all day would hurt is because it's perfectly flat, while our feet aren't flat, last time i checked boot/shoe insoles weren't perfectly flat.

I got a pair of these in late February. They are the most comfy boots I have ever owned. They seem durable and well constructed.

I might get another pair of the Built Boot in carbon for work this winter, but I would have to order the goddamn things now to have them by then. It took 10 fucking weeks to get the boots, and 13 weeks to get the jeans. Jeans are pretty fucking nice as well, but eat a dick on 13 weeks for some pants.

The boots are fine as they should be. Your feet are not though enough. Start with softer light Hiking boots for a year or so then upgrade to the real deal. Arch support will ruin your feet.
