17159705 No.17159705 [Reply] [Original]

I got a black eye about a week ago and my eye is finally open. Unfortunately, it’s still probably another 2-3 days from being fully gone. With that in mind, I’d there anything wrong with me putting makeup over it? What are some tips to cover it up?

as if males wearing makeup isn't normalized yet

I don’t know. No man I know does. I don’t particularly want to, but I work a job that has me dealing with the public pretty often and having a very visible black eye does not really help. Plus I’m tired of all the stares and questions.

if you do the makeup well and it doesn't stand out, congrats you made it but otherwise it will look ugly and catch more attention

Considering that I’m a guy with literally no makeup experience before, what are the odd that I successfully cover up my black eye?

I can’t be that hard, right? Just need to cover up the purple parts with some concealer and I’ll look fine again, I’m pretty sure. Unless you have some other advice.

black eyes are aesthetic and make you look dangerous and alpha (if you look good already otherwise you will just look like a nerd that got beat)

Try it right now and see if it works. If it looks shit wash it off.

I’m pretty sure I fall into the latter camp (or at least I did before the swelling went down and the bruising turned black lol)

your face is masculine bro. Just wear black aviator glasses while its healing and when its less swollen you can rock that black eye for the ladies, say that you gain it beating a thief

>> No.17159819

>>17159802
Huh, I hadn’t thought about it like that. My eye is currently how it looks in the original post. Is that still a little too swollen to be rocking without sunglasses?

>> No.17159869

>>17159705
if you can find concealer that matches your skin properly in time then go for it but even if its believable (which it wont be) your eye is still swollen and you'll just look like you're making a weird face.

Stop caring, wear makeup. Tucker Carlson has more makeup than your mom and rednecks still love him.

Why do you think it won’t be believable? Is the bruising just too dark for concealer to be expected to work on it right now?

It'd be weirder to wear makeup over it. Only thing that might be of concern is at work, but if you've got a normal story and otherwise look healthy and put together, I doubt it would become an issue.

I work in the reception area at my internship. I’ve got work starting in an hour, should I try makeup? So far I’ve just been wearing a medical patch, but that was mainly because it was swollen shut. At least now I can see, so I don’t think I want the patch anymore

>> No.17163573

wear an eyepatch like a pirate, big glasses, thats about all you can do to not look like a retard

I really want to avoid a patch. I wore one all last week since my eye looked like this, but now I can finally see. Are sunglasses really my only option?
