Can anyone recommend me a cologne for a late twenties jacked sporty type guy to fuck freshmen and sophomores at university?

I have Dior Sauvage EDP but everyone has it. I also have Channel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, but I think it smells to powdery on my skin.

Preferablely something leaning masculine. Also if it could fit for the Fall and Winter that would be great. I had these suggestions from some kind anons in the last thread:

Bois Imperial
Phantom by paco rabanne
Sauvage Elixir
montblanc explorer
Prada l'homme

taking a break from incense, my bottle of Machrie from Arran Aromatics has finally arrived
I've sprayed it once on a tissue and my first impression is that it's a cooling smell, definitely marine, somewhat balsamic, with a hint of lavender-y aroma on the top and a distinct, though subdued stinkiness which reminds me of the smell of dirty, foamy sea water you might smell at a port, which might or might not be a realistic enough recreation of ambergris, I've sadly never had the opportunity to smell it by itself

Not trying to samplesperg but how do you keep track of which fragrances you liked the most, performance etc.? I go kind of on the opposite direction. I find most frags pleasing, and sometimes I end up buying a frag and not really wearing it much. Today I tried an old sample of Luna Rossa Carbon (actually a copy of it) and despite me very much liking it when I sprayed it on (as I recalled doing back when I first tried it), now that some hours went by I'm kind of feeling a bit nauseated by it. Other I just can tell how much I like without trying it for weeks (e.g. I feel like I really like Habit Rouge, but maybe if I wear it a month I'll start to find it cloying).
And that's without taking in consideration blind buying (which is a terrible habit I stopped doing).

We have at least one regular who swears by it, ill post his review.
>I've already written about Sung Homme at length, but after not wearing it much at all in 2020 and recently picking it up again in the beginning of the spring, it's become one of my all time favorites and I've got a few more points about it:

>-The perfumer is James Bell, who has criminally received no credit for this. He's also the nose behind Elizabeth Taylor Passion which coincidentally also has purple juice and features a smoky chypre backdrop.
>-This perfume is mislabeled by almost everybody as an "aromatic fougere," (hilariously, Fragrantica now labels Dior Fahrenheit as an "aromatic fougere" as well...) most likely because it is very soapy. In the minds of these people, anything from the 80s that is "soapy" must automatically mean it's "barbershop" style and thus it's a fougere. It's not the case here. It's a main point that I've written about before but there is no lavender anywhere in the composition, and definitely no sweet powdery coumarin. What I do get is a refreshing citric bite in the top colored in by a nuclear eugenol bomb, with a resinous woody-ambery labdanum and pine mid (colored by yet even more eugenol) and a heavy oakmoss base. These three components make up the chypre, so a chypre it is, albeit a very clean, fresh, virile "soapy" chypre.
Contd

>> No.17129705

>>17129704
>-This is a eugenol bomb and a case study in the ingredient. Eugenol is the secret ingredient which is responsible for the infamous pink "urinal cake" smell which Kouros is maligned for, and it's distilled to it's very essence in Sung Homme, where it's used in varying ways throughout the life of the perfume to represent the notes of bay leaf, cloves, carnation. It has narcotic effects and is what the dentist rubs on your gums to slightly numb them before injecting you with novocaine. This aspect of Sung Homme could make it a bit challenging for some. This narcotic, medicinal aspect of Sung Homme is for sure amplified by spices like cinnamon and caraway.

>I've got to say that this thing is a bonafide masterpiece and that's not even considering it's price point. Despite the challenging aspects I've discussed, Sung Homme is easy to wear and always comes across as clean, even garnering positive comments. It easily lasts the entire day and the vivid bright soap is lifted out of the resinous woods and spices when your body heats up, even 8 hours after applying. It also represents the "synthwave/vaporwave" retro aesthetic better than any other fragrance I've come across, so if you are looking for a sleazed out anachronistic neon powerhouse with a melancholic-nostalgic chypre drydown to match those vibes this stuff destroys the likes of Drakkar Noir in my humble opinion. 10/10 masterpiece.

Yesterday i was at the perfume store, and on my way out, Karl Lagerfeld´s "Bois De Vetiver" caught my eye.
I sprayed it on my arm and sniffed it....."Chamomille...dafug...." all through the shopping centre and on my way home i kept sniffing my arm like a madman every 10 minutes or so.
Truly a strange, yet calming and intoxicatingly addictive smell.

The drydown was quite rosy, grassy and calm.
Wonderful, yet too bad projection.
It´s been 24 hours and i still sniff my arm, that has this veeery faint memory of it still left.

I´m gonna buy it next time, i could wear it through the summer and most of the autumn.

Has anyone else smelled it ?

Most people use wayy to much shower gel or soap in the shower, use as little as possible, a bottle of shower gel should last nearly a year if you are using it right.

These are the top 3 frags I wound up liking after going through samples over the last few weeks:

L'Occitane Eau des Baux (using for everyday)
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille (using for date nights cause this shit is $$$)
Chopard Oud Malaki (haven't found a use but I like this one)

The other ones I tried were just mid.

I did not like the Snicebomb (too fruity), the Burberry London (just not me), nor Tom Ford's Tobacco Oud (I thought mixing Oud+Vanilla would be good... but this scent explains what's wrong with that).

I don't mind that it is artificial or synthetic. it might smell good. I never tried anything from Imaginary Authors, but their notes are interesting. One has asphalt and another has "first kiss" as a note. "Alpine air", "Burnt match".

I have been pleasantly surprised by strange notes. Like Hiram Green's "Hyde" which has tar. But it really works fantastically.

I have both antaeus and yatagan, they aren't all that similar outside of the beaver ass note. Yatatagan is more of a green aromatic fragrance, lots of bitter greens, moss, slightly sweet actually, but with an oakmossy drydown. Antaues is much more floral, with a decent amout of Carnation in the mid and a slightly powdery musky drydown, also modern antaeus doesn't have any oakmoss and i don't even detect any significant amout of any synthetic substitute.

I never got the gasoline smell but I bought it anyway as it's such a great floral leather, but recently I sampled it at stores (even though I own it I know I'm autistic) and I finally get it and I'm happy

Too hard to find for a reasonable price. I can afford it but would rather find something that isn’t expensive just because it’s discontinued

Most of the ones that I sample that I end up reaching for are reasonably priced. Any recommendations also in a similar price range? I'd like something more aquatic
