A receeding/balding hairline can look acceptable like in picrel.

The biggest issue is his beard, with a clean shaven head a big beard makes the face look unbalanced (also his looks bad on its own).
What really makes this picture though are the untidy background, shitty lighting, shitty jeans, cheap ass underwear, bad camera angle and the pose desperate to show off the 12%bf he worked so hard for.
