Anyone owned/aware of this fragrance???

I got a bottle from a friend who got it new a few years ago and hasn’t worn it, with the box etc.

I legit can’t find any reviews on YouTube aside from like 1 small channel, barely anything about it online, fairly certain it’s discontinued too.

I want to know how a fucking Gucci fragrance could be this unheard of??? Isn’t this like their main fragrance line? It might as well never have existed desu

Not him but I reckon the vanillagate wouldn't happen if they understood exactly that. However, they clearly overreacted because they've been believing the opposite (and have some serious cognitive dissonance now). Namely, that these sweet vanilla scents are the epitomes of masculinity as they seem to be accepted in fragcom as popular date scents. You can clearly see that most of responses are clear copes and attempts to convince themselves that this is still true. Realizing that they've been smelling like faggots all this time to 90% of the society might be a hard pill to swallow but they'll get there.

favorite vetivers?
im coming around to vetivers again, tried vetiver extraordinaire and thought it smelled like pencil erasers and put it away for a bit. Now ive worn it twice again, my brain has gotten over that association, and i really do like it. Trolled fragrantica, and it apparently has a rubber note, so thats what i guess i was smelling. Wouldnt mind a bottle one bit, but the performance seems very lacking. Guerlain is described as soapy, i dont think i want that, TF sounds too clean and bright, im probably going to try nishanes vetiver, which seems to get high praise. Jesus, everyone in this thread is an idiot. I'm going to put down a few of my thoughts as bullet points because it's easier that way.
1. It's very possible that one person is playing both sides in all of the stupid shit that's been going on lately
2. If the above is not the case:
3. Both sides are retarded. The guy who always talks about "the sperg" (is he schizophrenic?) and the civetposter (I don't even know what to say about this loser) are just pathetic
4. The person who's actively trying to ruin these threads with trolling is getting everything he wants out of it and he would stop if people quit replying to him.
5. I'm nearly certain that it's one mentally ill person playing both sides.
Also, most importantly, women love smelling Musc Ravageur on me, so vanilla is not at all feminine.

Enigma is unironically really good though. Say what you will about Roja, but writing off an entire brand because a few contrarian autists on a Mongolian snake charming board don’t like it is absolutely retarded. I don’t like a lot of his frags and even a lot of the ones I do like are overpriced, but Enigma is a modern masterpiece. There’s nothing else out there like it.

Dior presents Tobacolor in February 2021, a novelty from the luxurious Maison Christian Dior line.

The fragrance name Tobacolor has the ring of a surprising encounter, an invitation to discover the nuances of fresh tobacco tinged with joyful colors. Strong, generous and rich with aromas, the Tobacolor fragrance unfurls a beautifully sensual oriental trail. The bewitching scent evokes travel and freedom.

"I wanted to revisit the classic composition of a 'tobacco' scent by creating a surprising trail around the paradox of a cold hookah. I wrapped the tobacco's characteristic smokiness with sweet, fruity and warm, joyful notes. Tobacolor is as powerful as it is cheery. It is an enveloping, comfortably endearing fragrance,” explains François Demachy, perfumer of the house of Dior.

From the blonde tobacco leaves, to the 'gris' tabacco, and dark tobacco blends… Tobacco, with its rich colors and pungent aromas, has inspired joyful new hues for Tobacolor by Maison Christian Dior. The fragrance opens up like a rainbow of colors and senses: the brown nuances of tobacco and shimmering shades of plum and peach blend with the golden tones of honeyed notes.

No one ever said that.
The initial debate was: can a fragrance with vanilla in it be masculine? Layton for example is sweet but also has masculine traits.
No one ever even implied that vanilla is the backbone of being manly or that Layton is the manliest scent on earth.
And no one even mentioned classic date night/clubbing frags. Everybody knows they’re not manly.
Faggots like you blowing everything out of proportion are the reason why the argument derailed into a trollfest in the first place

>The initial debate was: can a fragrance with vanilla in it be masculine?
No it wasn’t. I see why y’all trying to make it seem as if people were saying that vanilla in any form makes fragrances not masculine. Extending it this way obviously makes it sound ridiculous. There’s nothing wrong with some vanilla and even masculine classics like Pour in Homme have some. It was rather a “debate” (lmao) about a group of very sweet-fruity vanilla metro scents like Eros, Layton or Ultra Male smelling feminine. That’s it. Stop trying to get everyone who likes vanilla involved into this shitstorm just because one of your faggy fragrances was criticised and you feel personally attacked.

The way it opens with the smell of cold-smoked glass of gin served with a junipers twig and a lime is spectacular. But much more complex than that. After a morning of burning some light Japanese incense, I'm cranking up the intensity with Fred Soll's Frankincense & Myrrh Classic. He makes two frank & myrrh sticks: Classic and Ancient. The Classic is raw and gritty, and the Ancient is sweeter and more refined. They're both absolutely stunning. I never went to Catholic church, but I've read that these sticks--the Classic in particular--are really close to liturgical incense. That white stuff you see on the stick is pure frankincense resin, which coats the black myrrh-based resin beneath. These sticks are long and slow-burning. One of these lasts about two hours if you burn the whole thing, but I usually put it out before that to avoid olfactory fatigue

SOTD: Aramis New West. I love this,To me it feels like the bridge between the classic 80s scent and the modern frags full of aldehydes. What I pick up most are the mint and pine notes it smells like when you're driving on a freeway on spring in a green area and you roll down the windows.

I don’t really like 4711 I’ll give it to my dad but this yellow one is absolutely amazing. Opens fizzy like Florida water and then stays fruity and lemony on your skin for longer than Guerlain imperial. I think scent wise, imperial still wins, but it’s extremely close and cdg anbar is up there too

Yup. People here have no idea. I know the whole “anything I don’t like is X” is a meme around here, but people here really do use Reddit as a stand-in for anything they don’t like. Seriously, go look at r/fragrance right now. It’s quite uncommon that niche frags are discussed to any significant degree. It’s always “my (22m) small collection”, and it’ll be a bunch of super common designer frags and MAYBE a Tom Ford or Creed thrown in on occasion.

Niche is our thing. To say niche is Reddit is just factually untrue. It’s really not debatable, it can be easily confirmed by just looking. Of course, it won’t matter because it’s just some autistic dipshit trying to cause drama and I’ll just get some one word buzzword answer like “cope” or “cringe”, or accusations of being insecure, or calling me a tranny.
