what makes it cringe?
what makes it s*y?
what makes it larp?
whats causes this?

The fact that it always looks pristine even after months of wear, and the people wearing it are IT office drones who can't into manual labor if they tried. The weak bodies under the clothes.

It just doesn't look like an outfit anyone living in 2020 would actually wear. At least here so it looks like a costume. The same as looking like a greaser or wearing a suit and fedora like an old 40s detective

i dunno abt heritage or workwear or americana but i definitely prefer boots, leather belts and thick denim. i can't imagine wearing track pants or sweats or chinos for casual pants and i detest sneakers. im almost 30 and ive always thought sneakers are something you should phase out as you age.

I don't think it's cringe but it just doesn't work for a lot of people. I knew an asian guy who tried to pull it off and it didn't work. He was way too short, had a topknot, was kind of chubby and had super chinky eyes. I complimented him on his denim jacket before and the first thing he said was like "Oh it's super expensive. I doubt you could afford it".

>> No.16005218

>>16005139
yeah
I get away with it but it takes 2 real years of denim wearing daily before they look ok. for an entire year you have to be 'guy with nice new pants'
it's nice because it's an impossible style to jock.

also if you want to OP always oversize the jacket or forget it. cuff should sit just behind knuckles or it looks lanky, calf hugging pants isn't workwear so the fit looks crossed, urban wannabe sorts.

tl;dr ruin your clothes without ruining your clothes, build your body without going to a gym.

The problems are cosplaying as a 40's manual labour worker and trying to dress up such a basic/casual look.
This style is not that bad, simply wear it casually and fuck up those clothes.
But these guys blow all their coins on the "muh made in america, muh japonese denim", so they are afraid of fucking those clothes up, ending up dressing up a style of clothes literally meant to be worn by peasants, looks retarded.

honestly some of these workwear fits would be much less onions if the pants weren't cuffed. If you wear cuffed jeans and work boots I automatically know you can't swing a hammer

Exactly, it's a front to hide the fact that they lack masculinity, but it clearly shows they don't understand masculinity either, because their fit is way cleaner than the men they're trying to imitate so they don't understand that lumberjacks or miners etc., dont consciously try to look manly or like that, those fits are manly because it's real men that where them.

Everybody can into manual labor, it's the reason why it pays so low. You don't have to be Arnie in Commando walking around with a tree trunks on his shoulders, we're not in 19 century anymore, 90% of work is made by heavy machinery unless you're in some nigger 3rd world -stan.

You guys are assblasted at a person wearing jeans and boots? And apparently this is "work wear" for people that go into the field? No one in the past 30 years wears this type of clothing to do construction. And no one under the age of 35 would associate this clothing with manual labour. Get off your high horses and stop acting so entitled. This looks like streetwear.

I don't like that style of boot, and I don't like how big the cuff on the jeans are, but the individual items are fine. And the small jacket size is effay.

Nostalgia. Being unhappy with what is being offered as a contemporary 'normal' style which is always looking like a dumb consumerist, whether its preppy, normie, techwear, rapper, etc.
The other alternative is (traditional) meanswear.
