being unaproprietely dressed (depending on weather), meaning you wear too much layers when it's hot and not enough when it's cold.

guy with depression and anxiety here.
if you wear anything linen it needs to be insanely wrinkled cause you left it on your dresser in a pile for months. you normally wear a lot of sweaters over a tshirt that you almost never wash in the winter. in the summer you have like one pair of shorts that only gets washed if you spill mustard on it. so with that maybe a single pair of basketball shorts so you can wash the normal ones at like 2am

What kind of mental illness? I'd be willing to believe that most people are mentally ill to varying degrees. I can tell you when I was at my most mentally ill I dressed like that k-core guide except none of my clothes fit right and they were all overwashed or underwashed.

I dunno, I have psychosis and I dress like a completely ordinary guy. I guess my hair is kind of unruly and I go barefoot sometimes, but that's because I'm a hippie in floridian beach town, not because I'm mentally ill.
If I had to narrow it down though, probably hawaiian shirts and jewelry. Not a ton, but a couple necklaces and rings and bracelets and a watch. Trinkets, baubles, things that remind me that I'm real and I'm ok and I'm loved.
