Consider layering under rather than over, with long-sleeved shirts (can even be thermal if it's very cold) and thick tights.

You can layer thick skintone tights/leggings with patterned stockings over the top if you want to go overboard.

A bigger cardigan could look good if you wear some chunkier shoes with it.
A short cropped tighter fitting jacket could also be cute. but you would have to match the shoes for it.
