On the real the pair I ordered arrived a few days ago, and they look and feel great, but I get this really annoying leather rubbing sound from the tongue rubbing against the upper interior where the laces are. Is there a way to stop this sound or does it eventually go away as the leather breaks in?
I've mostly just worn leather boots, geos and ramones and none of them had this issue.

Those are jordan zoom 92s. They aren't really athletic shoes, they'd be pretty bad for basketball due to poor ankle support. They are, however, of a certain vintage that most people would enjoy without being too loud or made of some bizarre textile. Pretty much the perfect retrofuturistic shoe, idk why you're on about the toe, the undersole has a neat red cushioning bar you can't quite see from that angle.
