Yep this, it can be coyote or Chair Force-- just don't blouse or tuck. They're great for any terrain. Might be ugly to you, but these are some comfortable very solid boots. Got these issued to me in miltary school and I still wear them 7 years later. There's a ton of quality combat boots out there. Tactical Research, Garmont, Danner, and Oakley all make a quality boot.

Leather is "breathable" in that it absorbs water to a degree. Or you get jungle/canvas/etc. boots. I always suggest austrian canvas boots.

So basically this is all up to how tough your feet are. Soft leather lining will help. If you want to be disgusting like that you best get pure leather shoes - leather in contact with skin will not smell quite as bad as fabric. I know that there was a period when southern european armies (italy, spain, maybe france) wore leather boots without socks, but this practice was generally considered inferior by more northern armies, even for hot weather. Also, modern leather contains things you don't want touching your skin. Search for veg tan leather if you're so inclined on this. (Also, I've worn my soft leather lined boots without socks a few times and it feels disgusting and makes a pumping sound as if I was constantly farting. Not recommending it.)

my g you'll only get trench foot if your feet are submerged in water/never dried for DAYS - just air out your boots by just loose lacing them and propping them against the wall so air is directed into them - but really thats only necessary if you're not wearing socks.

Dude, what do you expect to be doing that you fear trench foot? It doesn't happen in normal circumstances. If your feet are super sweaty or something, you can change socks, that will take some moisture out of the boot. (Actually pls don't. Imagine the smell...) Back in the days, it was often suggested you wear two pairs alternatingly so each pair can dry out completely inbetween uses. Also fucking wear socks, seriously. It's unhygienic and may cause superficial injury to your foot if you don't - which is actually a risk factor for trench foot.
