How long does it take to have long hair bros? Should I just let it go or do you shave the sides as it grows to keep it proportional?

Hair grows about a 1/4" to 1/2" a month. It took me 14 months to grow my curly hair out to the point where I could pull it down to my chin.

Currently growing it out all at once. 2.5 months in so far.

I grew my hair out a few years ago and just said fuck it, not getting it cut. Yeah it will look weird for a couple months. It took me about 7 months to get to a point I would consider it to be out of the “awkward phase”. I just wore a hat for most of the in between time

Start getting comfortable with using product and heat tools like hair dryers. This guy has some decent tips, albeit the product placement is pretty high in his videos.
