Buying new glasses fucking suck. I'm on my 4th prescription and what i do now is go to the eyewear shop and try on frames looking for something i like, look and the size and take a photo of them, and hunt for something that looks exactly like them online.

Most eyeglass brands are owned and made by the same Italian conglomerate Luxottica.
Check out Warby Parker though, they make their own and aren’t owned by Luxottica. Generally around $100-150 a pair including the lenses, and free replacement if the lenses are scratched within a year.

It's a difficult market and there are no used ones and majority of people tend to use a single pair for over a year. Connect all those and you get that vast majority of the market is going to have high prices.

If it doesnt seem worth it to you, just wear some zennis if they are cheap.
