50 Million died in the 1918 pandemic, 2 million have supposedly died of it in this one, much more are going to die from from the economic and social impact these lockdowns and the fearful people who support them. Humanity isn't going to disappear, freedom and civil rights can. isolate the old if they wish, let young people get on with there lives. If this pandemic was as bad as they say there would be bodies piling up on the streets.

you're missing the point. We're only a year into the pandemic, there is so much scope for this to get worse. People are acting like we're already at that point, but that's literally the best approach, you want to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.
