I think it's a combination of scarcity, demand, style, and location like like most expensive clothing
With japanese street brands, especially their jackets (in this case a japanese street fashion brand like Neighborhood) they don't make many of them, bombers are a timeless style and are always looking to be bought and I think the fact it's domestically made in Japan adds a lot to the value, means someone gave a shit when they made it. So that's why they can price them closer to $1000 MSRP than not, people love domestically made shit that's timeless.

>> No.15881166

>> No.15889388

I would have rather have had tortoise shell or havana but the black ones were the only ones in stock so I grabbed them because I’m not sure how long they’ll be around. There are still a couple of colors available in the 1908 which looks pretty similar though https://us.vuarnet.com/products/district-1908?variant=20066286927960
I’m fortunate enough to live close to a dealer who can get skilynx or any other color lenses made for mine if I want so I’m not worried too much about it.

Recently purchased this double-breasted coat in loro piana capolavoro new wool.

Looks and feels amazing. The only downside I'd say is that it's unlined, just the shoulder area is lined and the sleeves I believe. While the front has great structure due to it being a double-breasted coat, the unlined back is too light for my taste, I would've loved for it to have more rigidity and structure. A great autumn/fall coat nevertheless.
