organic real life doesn't exist anymore, it's all just a larp, for $80 you can buy your identity for the day

>> No.15859157

Who the fuck would actually have the gall to wear this shit? Do people really want to LARP as construction workers THIS badly? They can literally just go get the jobs, at least they'll get paid for it.

Btw I have a jacket similar to this that I fucked up thru a year of hard skating lol, cant beleive someone would pay to wear it

it’s literally the easiest money ever. i made 2 grand profit last year just buying used carhartt jackets off of construction workers/thrift shops/raghouses/poshmark and selling them for 5x-10x what i paid for them on grailed.
it’s kind of dying down. i’ve cut down on my carhartt purchases and have already started piling up inventory for the next couple meme trends. i’ll let you poornigs feast on my scraps.

>>15859195
i used to. i’d literally go to worksites and offer them $5-$20 per jacket/pair of pants they have depending on like how worn they are/paint splatters/etc. usually word spreads around that someone is buying their used carhartts and essentially i’d have a line of 8-10 guys selling all their old shit.
the double knees sold like hotcakes. i’d literally have the listing up for 15 minutes and someone would buy it full price no questions asked.

one of them that has been going really well is arcteryx, specifically cheaper jackets like the atom lt. buy used for $40-$60, flip for $120-150. i do see it slowing down in a couple months when the weather warms up but as of now, it’s a consistent 2x profit with a quick turnover.
the others i will just give hints for since i don’t really want to shoot myself in the foot by saying the exact items, but americana staples, 2000’s nostalgia, and late 2000s-early 2010’s mid/high tier designer houses (above lv/gucci/dior, but not quite avant garde).
i’ve probably said too much but if you’re one of the few people on here that can actually understand what im saying and take advantage of it, go for it.

>> No.15859296

>>15859280
nope. i was at first but as of late i only really washed the ones that smelled like dogshit because people like the stains and don’t want to risk losing them. it makes my job easier as all i have to do now is buy it, photograph it, and ship it whenever it’s bought.

2X at that price is a waste of time shipping + fees destroy the minuscule profit you're making

>> No.15859347

>>15859340
i should’ve clarified, it’s 2x+ after fees and shipping. and i’m doing all this shit passively so i’m not exactly putting all my effort into it. i could’ve made more if i didn’t take a break in the summer but eh who cares.

>> No.15859356

>>15859347
yeah alright that makes more sense 2X is ok then, i would be aiming for stuff you can make 4X or more on though , 2X is cool if you're buying shit for personal use whatever but, becomes somewhat risky to invest heavily in for clothes

>>15859216
lol you sold them? nice flip dude hahaha

>> No.15859444

>>15859356
hopefully in the future i will be able to expand to 4x. right now i'm looking to just keep a high volume of sales up by slightly undercutting the market rates in order to build rep, have repeat customers, and to always have fresh inventory. in the near future i'm planning on setting up a webshop/having direct sales on ig in order to cut grailed out of the picture.
i'm mainly selling the arcteryx jackets to diversify and have super easy sales. i get them in, take pics, repackage, and sell. they're also really good for getting people to buy more things as people tend to bundle an arcteryx jacket with a carhartt jacket/pants/any other low cost item i have.

Fashion was never about "real identity" lmao. 30 years ago, people went to the mall to get their "real identity". Now people are able to access a wider range of styles through the internet to build their "real identities".
