>>15840466
I don't get bamboozled because I don't go out of my way to look for cheap clones of established scents and I don't haggle with strangers to save a few bucks. Yea, a lot of the high-end brands are overpriced for the sake of exclusivity and prestige. I'm sure it doesn't cost Creed anywhere near $300 to produce a bottle of Aventus but that doesn't mean some third world brand is going to copy it for you at a tenth of the cost. That said, if the scent was completely different for you after trying a sample, then you probably got scammed by the seller or you bought the wrong version. There's like a dozen different variations on Club De Nuit in various concentrations and for both genders.

a tip for La nuit fans, and SOTD, Trussardi Riflesso. Don't get fooled by the bottle it's not old school smelling, it's basically la nuit, but at the same time it doesn't smell like it, if you're nit picky. It's less chocolaty than la nuit and a tad fresher, still keeping the warmth and some freshness with discrete sweets like la nuit. the apple and violet leafs (or the aroma chemicals they used to mimic it) kind of give the vibe of cardamon, but not quite 100%. To me it smells like a somebody took the recipe of la nuit and replaced some of the ingredients.

Performance is better than La nuit in my opinion. If you over spray it can be a bot bothering unlike la nuit.

never blind buy, try at at some sephora or something but don't pay that prices you can find it cheap at discounters. If you really need to blind buy, make sure you like la nuit and apples.

>In the wide and enchanting meadows of the Val d’Aosta, Maria Candida feels the presence of Barry Lyndon. The character portrayed by Ryan O’Neal in the movie of Stanley Kubrick, turns into the scented and dreamed man by his creator. The steps of the young Barry echo in the mist through the paths covered with the heather and the peat. Scents of fresh leather of his saddle mixes in the air with the dust of the flowers. It is an harmony, a vibration which I felt when walking in the pure mountains air in the Italian Alps. We are in the Age of Enlightenment, in the 18th century A.C., when extreme sensuality meets refinement.

I still haven't figured out yet why there are certain perfumes that I can't smell while I'm wearing them unless I put them on a spot on my arm that I'm actually able to put my nose up to. It's not an issue of performance. I sprayed about 4 small sprays (small because of sample vial) of Francesca Bianchi's Lost in Heaven. I've been wearing it for hours and I've only smelled it a few times (other than when I put my nose up to it). It's clearly not a weak perfume, and I don't think I've gone anosmic to it if I can still strongly smell it off my arm. Meanwhile with some perfumes like Musc Ravageur it's like I'm enveloped in a cloud of it all day and can smell it with every breath.

Tried Musk Deer today and it reminded me of a mix between ormond man and nawab of Oud intensivo, cardamom, rose, cedar, labdanum.. not animalic and quite wearable desu

Put on Etruscan water, and I’m not too sure what to think about it yet, but it’s a chypre, isn’t it? I get fresh Citric notes in the beginning followed by spicy, mossy notes..

SOTEvening is Costa Azzurra. Transportive. It doesn't wow me, although it's only been ten minutes. However, it's by far the most unique from the Blue line. It's surprisingly spicy too. It’s a bit salty and green, but doesn’t have the pungency of seaweed. It’s fresher than you might expect, but not exactly clean. Pleasant woody base, slightly spicy. Hints of citrus, but they’re probably there to add some lightness and prevent it being too heavy rather than dominating. Costa Azzurra is very piney, woody. Seaweed doesn't smell like it typically here, but more aquatic, toned down. It smell overall like a pine bath soap to me. Somehow it's actually very green, but if you close your eyes it actually reminds me of a mediterranean beach.
But yeah, it's very weak. The scent is very beautiful but sprayed on it's more citrusy, the pine note fades quickly.

i've tried david cool water (didn't like the way it made me feel), parfums de marly layton (didn't like the way it made me feel), lacoste white (nice youthful), individuel mont blonc (didn't like the raspberry, too metrosexual avent garde) and finally starwalker mont blonc which i love so much! i'm looking for more of something like this. or something that gives me this feeling. something comforting but i need something that actually lasts. it doesn't even need to project much. just something that lasts 7 hours, this only lasts like 4 hours and thats my generous interpretation. i made a list of canidates please pick the ones i'd like:

I would grab a few samples if I were you. Oud Wood, Tobacco Oud, Oud Palao, Wonderoud to name a few. These are all fairly straightforward takes on the note. Oud Noir (if you're referring to the Versace) is revolting. It does smell quite similar to Oud Wood, but it's much louder and cranks up the sweetness so it's cloying on a nuclear level. This is the bottle that taught me NEVER to blind-buy. Absolutely fuckacumbutt tier.

Yes, the concentration of it is ridiculous. I have a 5ml decant that has lasted me for 6 mos already (I rotate a lot and have 10 full bottles though). The sprayer almost got clogged from some mud-like substance. That's how dense it is.

the gays have more disposable income and actually worry about personal hygiene
if the gays flocked towards antaeus, it was because they have better taste than most breeders and know class when they smell it
