SOTD: Papillon’s Salome

I just went for a piss and I couldn’t tell if it was my piss or my wrist I could smell. If you dig your nose in and really breathe it in I get more of the cumin. It reminds me a little of Lost in Heaven in terms of the indolic nature of the base, I get the mix of Jasmine, cumin and Castoreum. There is a slight soapy quality, with hints of floral, but mostly I get the animalic side of it. Interested to see how it develops, but it feels like if there were top notes they disappeared in minutes.

It depends. Some are pretty heavily scented and will stick around for a while. I can definitely still smell the deodorant I put on this morning if I flap my arms and I know I can smell some of my coworkers' shampoo if they get close enough.

On top of that I'm on the fence about buying En Passant, but I'm thinking I really should just keep sampling until I absolutely love something. I have about thirty full bottles (I may sell a couple, but mostly I'm happy with them) so it's hard to justify buying loads.

I feel like Chergui could be a purchase if it's as good as I've heard and what I expect from it.

Francis Kurkdjian Oud Silk Mood EDP opens with a blast of rose and then has the oud immediately poking through and becoming more prominent. Their samples are cheap and high quality so it's an easy one to try.
