You need to focus on calisthenics EVERY DAY and a high-protein diet to maximize muscle gain and retention since you're going to still be eating a lower calorie level. I suggest seitan (wheat gluten) if you're looking for something easier on your stomach and kidneys. There's lots of recipes online for it, and you can buy bulk wheat gluten to make it with easily.
