I'd prefer steel for this application because it takes a better mirror polish than titanium does, due to being harder.

Also, I just discovered that Dufour has made roman numeral versions of the Simplicity in 37mm, and that the dial is actually lacquered not enamel, there are just enough coats of lacquer that it looks like enamel.

>inb4 f91w with a tourbillon
Why fuck around with memebillons when you can achieve perfection:
- F-91W form factor (Doesn't have to be exact but similar deal)
- Metal case and bracelet
- Sapphire crystal
- Water resistance at least 50m
- Stopwatch can count hours instead of 60 minutes max
- Current time visible on the stopwatch page
- Can mute button beeps
- Timer, 5 Alarms, perpetual calendar, dual time (or world time), and all that higher model stuff
- Compass
- Solar charged (There is more than enough space around the screen)
- Drilled lugs
- Good, elegant, versatile design. Nothing over the top. Can be worn from the suit to the beach.
- None of the Bluetooth app shit that just adds bloat and cost.

I don't believe I'm asking for much. Maybe the compass will be one more tiny component on the circuit board. Beyond that it's just upgrading the chip with features already available in other models. All wrapped up in a better shell. I think you can do it at 150$ max. Only reason we won't get this is because Casio is the monopoly in digital watch space.

The woman's model inox is actually a decent size. It you want a super heavy duty quartz watch and for some reason don't want to buy an oceAnus they are an option. The mens version is comically large unless you're wrists are above 7 1/2 inches.
Otherwise casio probably makes a better and cheaper version on any watch victorinox makes.

Blogposting while drunk. Watchless poorfag from a few threads over the last few weeks. Pic related is mine now. I'd like to thank everybody here for directly/indirectly teaching me about watches, I would have bought something stupid if not for all of you. At 42mm (excluding crown) x 47mm this watch fits *perfectly* on my wrist as shown in the guide in OP's post, perfect lug to lug. Pics don't do this watch justice. The indices and hands are as polished as the bezel, can see my face in the crown. Depending on how the light hits the dial it either looks flat, solid, featureless monochrome black or has an almost 3 dimensional depth and variation from the different patterns on the dial. Has a nice masculine chunkiness and decent weight considering it's titanium, downward curve of the inner lug has aqua terra vibes, solid links. Lume is not amazing but does last long enough to be legible until I fall asleep. Can't wait til the jewellers open again so I can get the bracelet adjusted and get this on my wrist. Sincerely, thank you again anons. I hope whether you wear cheap shitters like mine or rolex tier and above that you enjoy them greatly.

They aren't. However, they gained a humble reputation from 2nd and 3rd world countries due to their manufacturing of outdated and simple automatic movements. Where Seiko has been known to innovate their mechanical movements from time to time, Orient will stay put with what's tried and true. Orient is largely distributed in SE Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. I've seen a lot of Orients in the Mid East. In a place like Qatar, your average Habib isn't going to drop a week's paycheck for a kinetic capacitor replacement. Battery replacement services aren't all that common in these places either. That's why they'll put a small chunk of cash for a watch that will run for the next 8 to 10 years.

Their movements are reliable. Their finishing is a notch higher than what you'll see with entry level Seikos, but they will cut corners on bands and bracelets, like what I have >>15770051 here.

Don't get me wrong the blue dial Overseas color does catch the light but compared to the dials on the watches it is competing against, Nautilus, Royal Oak, Aquanaut and even Moser it is the most plain and unexciting. No fumee, no gradient, no texturing, nothing to make it unique or special.

I do love the RO guilloché dials, no doubt about that.
But the Nautilus dials are stamped and dull as can be.

Out of the three (RO, Overseas, Nautilus), the blue dial Overseas comes in second just a hair under the RO, but only because it has a slight sunburst while I'd prefer a flat texture.
The Nautilus is a distant third.
Hell, I prefer the wet black lacquer Overseas dial over the Nautilus.

Definitely not. If it's something that has happened suddenly (especially after going through the scanners at the airport for example) the watch has very likely become magnetized. You can buy a $15 watch demagnetizer on Amazon to try or I'm sure if you have a watch repair place you can go to they'll likely do it free, it's literally just setting it on a box and clicking a button.

If it isn't sudden, however, it most certainly needs to be regulated and possibly fully serviced.
