hesalite shitmaster should be around 1k. it's too expensive for what it is, literally the seiko 5 of swiss chronos.
0 WR, garbo movement that they don't regulate and has a stuttery garbage chronograph hand with a dogshit horizontal clutch that literally grinds your movement to dust while you have the chronograph running.
A 12 hour totalizer completes the joke because if you actually run it for that long you're wrecking the movement AND your time keeping because the chronograph drops the amplitude of the movement buy about 30-50 depending on power reserve.
God I hate swatch and that faggot hayek so much.

That has a 12 hour totalizer, it's fine.
Timing 30 mins can easily be done in your head because it's just half a dial on a 3 hander.
1 hour + is what you actually need a chronograph for, watches are tools and I expect them to be designed to their maximum potential.
That's why I hate swatch, artifical product segmentation, the sneedmaster, AND SLAVED 24 HOUR FUCKING SUBDIALS

>What, really?
Yes (currently several at 2k-3k range at crh24), it has the old lemania movement that is liked by watch enthusiasts, it has the characteristic arrow and day-date complication, opposed to the current modified valjoux that only has date.If you are a collector, for sure would be an interesting piece, but for wearing it more than random times I would get the newest one. I also love that model, so it is also on my mind getting something similar if not that one, it is bulky, but the military and utilitarian design is really cool.

heres a video of it on a small wrist 16cm.

Hey lets make a quartz movement to mog mechanical chronographs, but also lets put absolute favella monkeys in charge of designing it.
>useless slaved 24 hour subdial even though theres a valJEW layout variant with a proper 12 hour totalizer
>literally could have added an extra gear to make it an independent set and give affordable quartz chronos a fantastic fucking GMT complication but no, it's just a fucking eyesore, mocking you for your poor decision every time you look at your watch.
>only the valJEW layouts have a 12 hour totalizer
>60 min register is constantly running, and unlike the Miyota OS10 it falls out of sync with the fucking chrono hand after a few months of use
>there's no way to sync it up without literally moving the hand back into place manually.
Here's the kicker:
>reset is non-jeweled and very high torque
>THE ENTIRE HAND STACK IS FRICTION FIT and not snap on LIKE EVERY SINGLE OTHER FUCKING WATCH
>resetting the chrono moves the minute hand
>the reset torque is higher then the static friction of the chrono hand fiitting
>If the chrono hand is even just slightly too long or heavy it will eventually start resetting to random positions due to slippage
>Chrono hand just fucking falls off after a while, it also can just fall off with shocks unlike most quartz or even mechanicals

Literally fashion watch chink shit tier. I fucking despise le meca-quartz shilling and I will bully the fuck out of you if you buy this shit.
The Mioyta OS10 and Ronda chronos don't have le reddit sweep but they blow this garbage movement out of the fucking water.

Got it late February, took it to my local favorite watch seller who said they "had a guy" who does vintage. WuFlu strikes and the place it gets sent is closed for months. When they open in late May they say they "can't find parts" (aka probably didn't want to do it). I kept it for a few weeks and said fuck it and sent it to Tag Huehue's "Vintage Workshop". They'll probably kill any collectors value it had, but being a Viceroy it was never that rare to begin with. They're gonna take like 12 weeks to do it at least. I approved to work 2 weeks ago. Ive had two of these. Got one about when the first suunto core was released, late 2008, died from water during kayaking in 2009. Got replaced with a new one when I took it in for service. That one crapped its backlight in 2017 during a 2hour bicycle trip in the rain, so now pretty useless since cant tell time if dark. Granted I havent replaced the seals while changing the battery and whatnot but I think thats bad performance for a watch aimed a outdoors activities. The compass is rather accurate actually, the altimeter not so much. Might post picture later.

The design of the 321 is from a time when a lot more skilled labour used to be spent on adjusting movements. It has to be assembled twice, the first time to allow the watchmater to adjust all the tolerances, then taken down and finish lubricated for final assembly. It also has a screwed balance which again requires a bunch of time from a skilled watchmaker to adjust, particularly as the movement is a slow beat and those take a lot more work to adjust for a reasonable level of chronometric performance.

I've seen macros of the new 321 in various videos about it and the quality of the finishing on much of the movement is at a level where it clearly has a significant amount of hand finishing, even if a bunch of that finishing isn't as complex as what you get on haute movements. Compared to a Daytona movement the finishing is in another planet. The movement finishing is easily comparable to entry level JLC chronographs, which are also in the $15k range.
