i'm just saying that this is a bad fit. those sleeves are baggy, the shirt clearly looks like flabs near the belt, the shoulder seams looks lower than it should be, etc. this looks like an XXL shirt on a guy that should wear L at most.
no one forces you to wear skinny fit, just buy clothing that is your size or else you're gonna look like a dad in your 20s.

If you want to look like you don't care and are confident and fit enough to pull that off, sure.
Otherwise, a higher rise pant that has proper length or at least is cuffed, good (expensive) shoes and a decent haircut will make this much better.

the thing is, he pairs them with pants that look slim. if he wore loose fit pants, that might've worked. otherwise, not so much.
plus, look at the picrelated. the shirt is tucked in. the shoulder seams look at place, not way down. no folds stretching from the 3rd button to shoulders. sleeves rolled up above the elbow, not below. no t-shirt under the ocbd.
if you want to look like a boomer - do what you want, just do it properly. don't buy a standard fit at XXL size, and dont wear it like a guy with 0 idea how to dress.
