Kind of. It's essentially based around a lot of the same "traditional" materials as neofolk. The big difference obviously is the emphasis on skirts (long skirts of course) and the deemphasis on milsurp. Specifically, the milsurp wool pants don't work for women. Pants would probably still ideally be woolen, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say what would look best.

I like the idea that Neofolk as an aesthetic embodies ambiguity. I did a bit of cursory reading into DI6 and from what I gathered they are genuinely apolitical, and the themes that they employ are in place as a catalyst to introspection. But that's just my interpretation, and I don't claim to have any in depth understanding.

The first verse is pretty explicitly saying that the holocaust didn't happen. I mean, I've read what he SAID it was about, but that has little relation to:

Rose clouds of holocaust
Rose clouds of flies
Rose clouds of bitter
Bitter, bitter lies
When the angels of ignorance
Fall down from your eyes
Rose clouds of holocaust
Rose clouds of lies

Rose is used here similarly to its use in the idiom "rose-colored glasses". He's saying that we have a "cheery" image of the jews being slaughtered, when he believes that's not the case. This is strengthened by pairing it with clouds, implying an obfuscation. Naturally, he believes that our view of the holocaust is cloudy, that it's a "bitter lie" being propagated by flies.

Anyway, that's just a basic interpretation of the first verse. I just struggle to see a way in which this is anything but holocaust denial. I should also note that I like, and frequently listen to, DI6. That being said, based on his lyrics, what his past associates have said about him, record labels he's associated with... I think it's safe to say that he's in it for more than just the look. Whatever though, if people want to believe otherwise, it's no skin off of my nose.
