Bring Back the Rule

This one Rule, used to make this board 100% better.

Whatever happened to this rule, now every-thread barely even has any peoples actually own fits, it's just a bunch of idiots sharing their opinions on fashions without anyone even knowing if they actually dress well.

If you don't actually dress well and are actually basic, your opinion on fashion objectively doesn't matter, especially if you're talking shit.

We gotta bring back this rule, because imagine if all the people talking shit right now posted their fits, they'd getting fucking ass blasted and we can actually go back to talking about fashion

nah, i used this board in 2015-2017ish, then came back during quarantine.

I don't claim to be a fashion god, or even too deep in the culture beyond having a few designer friends, but i remember used to actually be a decent place for fashion related conversations, i mean it was still 4chan, but at least people talked about brands and designers, and actually posted fits.

And i feel like the elitist culture, where you actually had to prove you somewhat had taste before spouting your opinion made the board much better

Maybe so, but i remember good memories, the Rick Email and general rick and raf obsession was a fun entry point into designers, the fact that chillwave and normcore kinda incubated on the board then spread into real life was cool too, honestly pre 2012 fa just seem cringe to me, with that fucking moustache guy, but maybe i was 2 years too late, still it was leagues more fashion based then today, i can say that

But, i guess i'm looking back with rose tinted glass so i deserve it, but i mean i feel like none of these threads are even actual fashion community memes anymore, obviously its always been mainly shitposts, but it seems like at this point more of the board doesn't actually enjoy fashion as a hobby than does, like it's more or less just a general "somewhat niche culture discussion" at this point

Also considering there are lots of different styles it’s kinda silly to think you can judge someone by 1 fit
I dress p basic but I have a much better sense of what looks good than most people. I like classic look bc I have ascended from the different stages I’ve lived through.....however here we still have teens and ppl in young 20s experimenting and shit...you can’t really judge someone by one fit - which clearly you want to do - and depending on “your phase” you might not even “get” it
