What is the most happy uplifting scent?

I need something to wear after waking up and staying inside all day during winter. (I'd put on a more cozy darker scent probably in teh evening)

I've been really liking byredo sunday cologne. How is portifino, or nishane colognise? I loved 4711, but it lasts even a little too short.

My favorites there are Eau Sauvage, D'Hermes, and The Scent but I like them all, Gio is probably the I dislike the most because it reacts really strong to my skin for some reason and even one spray is overpowering.

I think my collection just leans a bit too towards "fresh citrus" but don't really know what else to try.

Hi, glad you liked it! It's one of my favs, too. BdP and Lalique Pour Homme (the one with lion on the bottle) are similar - to the extent that it's probably to own all three. NYI is also the best one of the three by a mile. You seem to enjoy woody- spicy fragrances as I do. Similar stuff that I love: Ormonde Jayne Ormonde Man (it's more woody-forest-like), Geo F Trumper Sandalwood (Chanel Egoiste or Heritage if you want something darker), PdE Azemour Les Orangers (more mossy-orangy).

Can someone recommend a good non-blue and non-gourmand designer for someone who dresses casually? (sweater, sneakers and beanie every day)
I really enjoy sandalwood / javanol, pine, incense and ginger as notes, so I suppose I like sharp-smelling fragrances.

Imagine combining all of the worst traits of fragrance reviewers in one? What would they be. Perhaps we can come up with a list of what they would look like and how they sound.

When you smell fahrenheit in the first hour or so, you don't think leather, unlike ombre which is pure leather, especially in the first blast. then the sweetness comes in and overpowers the leather. one of the longest lasting I've sprayed on skin. don't own it yet, looking for the 30 ml size.

Fahrenheit is also on the list, once you get past say 10 fragrances, you need a classic that you enjoy the smell of, even though the people's reactions might not be the best. Fahrenheit is one of the most recognizable fragrances. I enjoy the smell, would wear it for myself.

hi everyone! very new to fragrance, please no bully :(

i am afraid of all the smells clashing (laundry detergent, curly hair products are heavily coconut and I can not avoid this)?

i love the smell of aesop and i usually spray the deodorant (Vetiver Root, Zinc Ricinoleate, Coriander Seed) but again i am wary of the clashing smells.
i enjoy the smell of laundry detergent/fresh linen/most aesop things.

can anyone suggest a fragrance for me please?

Got the Route de la Soie set in this morning:

Byzance is pretty interesting. Very soft and milky but has a savoury aspect, kinda smells like some kind of foreign ice cream. I wouldn't wear this but I'd like to smell it on someone.

Xanthia reminds me of Ambre Fetiche. Opening is juicy and pretty snice but has dried down into the same dusty amber as Ambre Fetiche which I'm not really interested in.

I've only sprayed most of these on card but everything seems to be quite reserved and polite. I might forget about these for a couple of weeks and come back to them when my palette is cleansed of Claudes platinum bangers

Any oudbro here? I can totally swim in a sea of Oud. Here's my current lineup:

- LV Ombre Nomade
- Initio Oud for Greatness
- Diptyque Oud Palao
- Amouage Jubilation XXV, Epic, Interlude
- YSL M7 Oud Absolu
- Penhaligons Halfeti
- Guerlain Oud Essentiel
- Byredo Oud Immortel

All mentioned are decants I got from a reputable frag forum (5-10ml) because I get bored with a certain smell from time to time.

Currently I'm thinking about getting Guerlain Rose Nacree du Desert, and apparently there's one Mugler Mirroix de Sensuel (if I'm not mistaken) that's the queen of rose oud.

One hit or miss oud I actually love (and I think I would enjoy a full flacon) is Armani/Prive Royal Oud, and the king of all ouds, Frederic Malle Al-layl (The Night) if not for the price.

Btw my daily driver is Tom Ford's Ombre Leather, gets compliment every time I wear it.

I've had that before while trying out Armani/Prive Royal Oud, a woman walked up to me and asked me to take a shower. Later on I learned not to overspray ouds.

Sweet fruity rose. Probably the worst OJ I ever tried. It's not bad but rather unremarkable. Very feminine. It's also a pity that both of these seemingly broke from the classic OJ DNA. I’ve been able to talk to him on the phone a few times, but I can’t see him in person. Currently, they only allow him to have a list of 5 visitors and those are his 3 sons, his daughter, and my mom. I guess it’s not quite as bad for us because he was diagnosed 5 years ago and at the time, they gave him 6 months to a year, so we’ve had way longer with him than anyone thought and we’ve all had a lot of time to prepare for this, but it’s still tough. He’s a good guy and he was very good to my mom. He doesn’t deserve to go out like this. I feel awful for my mom, too. They were together over 25 years, they were the loves of each other’s lives.
