i wanted to cop all black ones but they costed like 70$
so instead i bought these for literally 15$
those are the Superstars B27140 but they had no golden details on 'em so i thought that those ones can be painted black to save 55$
so i painted the white details black using black polish and i think they look great! (yes you can call me autistic if you want at least i have all black Superstars HAHA)
and the fact that the fresh blavk polish rubs off the white leather just makes it better
and then i added the zip-ties, to make it DRAINier and i chipped off the extra because it was uncomfortable for my pants to break on them

also 7 months ago i zip-tied my Martens 1461 but there was a zip which got tighter so i decided to lace them back again

Probably has to do with what type of footwear you're used to, blazers (vintages at least) are retro shoes with a largely flat midsole/outsole and little cushioning. If you have good ankle mobility and no arch problems this is actually good for you and should be relatively comfortable. It's not that different from wearing vans or converse, but low support footwear is tough for people that grew up with modern high support footwear their whole life. But they also make zoom versions with cushier insoles.

In general Nike retro stuff is bad for people with wide feet too. But if you size a half size up and put thin insoles like superfeet in them they should be the same as any modern shoe once you break them in.

I know the Stan Smiths are the way to go, but what do you guys think of the Coast Stars? I like the strips on the sides.
