Wearing a suit is purely about confidence.
Why do you care that a bunch of trash wearing sneakers and t-shirts thinks you look funny? Their life and opinions are completely worthless. Dress in what makes you feel confident and comfortable and fuck what the riff raff losers think

Well yeah you shouldn't wear a full fucking suit to everything it's inappropriate. Girls aren't showing up in prom dresses to smoke weed at their friend's house.

Part of dressing well means dressing for the occasion, not just dressing as formal as possible in any given situation

I know your pain OP, I've been wearing suits (or atleast just dressy wear) for a while now and have recieved the following compliments:

>You haven't got anywhere to go
>You're not a laywer
>Why don't you dress comfortably
>Are you going to church/wedding/funeral/office/interview (had literally all of them)
>Take the tie off!
>You have delusions of grandeur
>People are going to take photos of you and put you in the local newspaper
>You are going to be arrested and put into an insane asylum
>You're going to get mugged

It gets tiresome, why do people have to be so anal about what other people wear, I don't criticize what they wear

Are you still in high school? Lol imagine being an adult man and having your adult friends call you a nerd lol that's embarrassing more for them.

Obviously the answer for you is sprezz. That's the whole point. To look good, elegant, well dressed but casually and not forced.

The other reality is the more you drop negative turds from your life the more free you become. Think about it. You want to dress in a certain way and you're questioning, coming online to discuss it.

if some guy rocked up in your town in a suit nobody would say shit and they would likely respect him thinking he is is somebody important because of how he is dressed. The people you know obviously think you're a nobody and you lack the confidence to back up your fits.

This

The notion that you can only wear certain clothes if you are in a specific field is a relic of age old traditions going back thousands of years.
It has always been important to be able to distinguish the upper classes from the lower classes.

Many times in history there have actually be laws restricting the type of clothes one is allowed to wear depending on his class, and still today many places have dress codes that are more or less exclusive to very specific events... events that only the highest social classes can attend.
You would be harshly criticized if you decided to wear a white tie outfit outside of a white tie event, not because you are dressed unusually, but because you are not of the right social class.

Social classes are not unlike military ranks, there are articles of clothing such as epaullettes and agrillites that you are only allowed to wear if you are of a certain rank.

Most people accept their place in life and will not wear a suit, they resign themselves to dressing in cheap tracksuits and sneakers, the modern equivelent of brown rags that the peasant class used to wear.
You can choose to go along with the crowd and be accepted by society or you can choose to be the poor man in a top hat, not because you want to say something about social status, but simply because you like the style of clothing that you do and there is no reason to abide by oppressive and obsolete social class pressure.

It's just clothes, it doesn't matter what shape, colour or texture they are, if you like it, wear what you like
