It might just be me, but I really dig the look of military clothing, I’m considering replacing my M41 field jacket with an M42 jump jacket (pic related)
Also have you guys seen puttees? They’re a WW1 thing. They look dope as hell with baggy pants and are comfy if you wrap them right.

i own 12 items of milsurp ranging from ww2 to present day. i like it but try to keep it to 1 piece per fit max so i don’t look like a larperator.

i was just looking at some m65 jacket

>> No.15672274

Same, I’m actually trying to put together an airborne uniform (as cliché as it is). I don’t really get a chance to wear the puttees too often unless I’m running (and i don’t have WWI stuff yet).

Thanks! If you guys want to look for good WW2 stuff, I get most of mine from At The Front. Kinda pricy but great quality and pretty accurate. As for WW1 stuff, I think Soldier Of Fortune has that kind of stuff.

every time i see someone with one of those old german army jackets which every /fa/ggot thinks is a revolutionary change in their style i think they have no idea what style is and just look plain stupid

>> No.15672322

>>15672315
It’s an American jacket, although to the untrained eye a lot of military jackets do look similar. The only good German WW2 fashion accessory that I think most people would wear would be jackboots.

the short german winter parka with 2 layers of wool is pretty dope

Looks a lot like a US M65 but thinner. Pretty good price on it though. I recommend the US M41 jacket over the newer M65/nylon jackets. The M41 by default looks like a blazer, but the collar can be folded up and buttoned closed. Also I hate the sound of nylon rubbing against itself. If you’re going for convenience though, go for that Austrian jacket/M65. The M41 has to be buttoned like a shirt in many places because they didn’t have Velcro. On the plus side I can do buttons one handed really well.

Wait, never mind I’m stupid. I didn’t realise that the M65 uses buttons too.

Any thoughts on the Ike jacket

It seems ok IMO. It’s much more fashionable than others, but the length of the torso and the materials just don’t vibe with me. don’t take my fashion advice though, I basically just wear a t-shirt and sweats everyday.

Just realised that I didn’t post a pic of puttees, here’s a quick one of me with a simple wrap. I wish I had a longer pair but they don’t make them for ppl who are 6”1’(yes I am standing on top of my bathroom counter)

Idk I just wear a M62 field jacket and some Swiss combat trousers that I've patched up the pockets from.

I have a pair of Swiss leather gaiters coming in the mail soon, thinking about studding them or screwing in some metal plates on the front sides.

you wrapped them retardedly af. I've got a pair of puttees for when I ww2 larp with my mate but I'd fucking kill myself before I unironically went out wearing them

I think I have too much of milsurp stuff already. All my jackets are milsurp, I don't need any more, but I ordered another one: Austrain tanker's jacket. Had my eyes on this one for some time, but found in my size just recently.
And I'm still thinking about buying Finnish wool stuff: jacket and pants.

why milsurp and not modern combat gear? I like the idea of mixing tactical with stylized fashion, it can be done.
