Shave the soul-patch/mustache. It doesn't look good and takes away from your jawline. If you still want a connecting beard, use a rub a little bit of minoxidil on your cheek/sideburns. Take biotin vitamins to ensure the hair grows out. That's how I got a fully connecting beard.

I wasn’t trying for any one specific look, just kinda wanted to do my own thing desu.
That being said, I did use some inspiration.

Pic related, along with Kurt Russell in the 80’s, and Anakin + Obi-Wan in the prequels were my main sources of inspiration, though I wanted more volume (closer to white guy afro) than any of those examples.

And just like pure coco oil? How much?
I already have some for cooking, unsure if acceptable as a hair product.

I’m pretty happy with how my hair looks within the day of showering, but I generally go every other day, and my own real complaint is how it starts to look the 2nd day in terms of frizzyness

Granted, driving around with the windows down probably doesn’t help
