Yeah he was banned for being shitty towards more experienced people in DIY that were trying to give him advice. I remember him making thread after thread with badly laid out formula lists (mislabelling, not mentioning important things such as if a material was pure or diluted), and whenever someone tried to give him advice he would always find a way to snub it, and in other cases get catty with them under a veneer of friendliness and ":-)".

Looks like he made a success of copying barebones formulas he found online, but given the fact he lets a pet roam free in his "lab", and never really tried to learn some basics even the most novice hobbyists learned from DIY, I'd give his stuff a miss. Plus there were reports on bad QC.

Another case of an indie trying to score from the vintage crowd, with a lucky hit or two at best. But no doubt the hype beasts will turn him in to a revered "master perfumer" a la Bortnikoff/Areej/Ensar soon.

Kafkaesque is a lunatic with TDS though, and even though he/she has probably smelled more perfumes than nearly anyone I highly doubt they smell all of the notes they claim to. Especially so since he even posted a vapor spectrum analysis or whatever it's called of the perfume. To be fair though it is definitely a different color now.

I ordered Chypre Palatin a couple weeks ago, I was kinda disappointed to learn that the "buy the bust version get two sample sets" deal was over but he explained that it was too good of a deal for distributors to compete with, so it's alright. Still getting 60ml free is pretty great.

K: OMG guys have you tried my golden boy brand's newest release? They use so many old and rare naturals!

Claire: Yeah it was good but I pick up something different from x perfume of the collection

Papillon: x material being 100 years old doesn't make it a good perfume. *explains some science she learned/researched as a self-taught perfumer*

K: REEEEEEE YOU GUYS DON'T AGREE WITH ME COMPLETELY! ALTHOUGH I PREACH SKIN CHEMISTRY TO MY COMMENTORS MAKE NO MISTAKE, MY NOSE IS PERFECTION AND I KNOW ALL!

Seriously though this reviewer is unhinged and pretty damn unprofessional. She already has a history of falling out with another perfume maker for an unknown reason and scrubbing out all the reviews they made on his stuff, but has the gall to keep a phrase he used a lot "Iso E Supercrappy". So she can sound whitty maybe? And she avoids basenotes like the plague, and although I agree some Basenoters are snobby as fuck, or post one word responses to every single thread so they can inflate their post count, I think this reviewer is avoiding the site because they don't like being disagreed with or have their knowledge challenged. SOTD: Isabey Sir Gallahad. That's an interesting one as it's a 100% masculine gardenia. Very elegant and fresh with warm amber-tobacco undertones. This wears like a bespoke suit on your own wedding. This is really a gem because you very rarely find a white floral undoubtedly masculine fragrance other than those neroli+jasmine based. What are you wearing lads?

Any thoughts about this Spaniard's reviews? I just watched two and quite liked; he has a good selection of niche reviews. He's also definitely loaded judging from the Patek Philippe Nautilus on his wrist, so it's nice for once to listen to an actually successful person not some weirdos spending all of their minimal wage savings on bottles of smelly juice.

Ahh the saga of pdm. For those following along, here's how it unfolded, maybe you can help me understand one detail. Not very long after the cp discussion, anon posted a Layton image, and being the nice guy I am, responded with """...mmm royal essence so very good" or something very similar. Royal essence is cringy and sounds like something out of a bodily orifice, or the dark crystal. Soon after, anon spams pdm incessantly for weeks. How did you know that was me? Lucky guess? Pure coincidence? Or something else I've brought up previously? So pdm is 100% not me.
I have never once bitched about oakmoss in CP either, it was the sweetness and bergamot that triggered me. So yeah, dropping those terms turns me into ath, sure.
I might have participated in one or two of the sperg threads, but I did 100% not create the two dozen others.
My opinion is not singular, cp does not have 100% ratings on basenotes, probably 60-40, or on fragrantica. You are so pissed someone has a different opinion on here in YOUR thread you have went to extraordinary lengths over the last few months. Super fucking neurotic.

So today I wanted to give a try to Arabian Perfume Oil copy of Oud Wood that I bought a sample long time ago after it was talked by the Arab clone anon in this thread and since then has been only gathering dust on my shelf.. Wow, it has to go bad because the smell was disgusting. It smelled like dusty rotten dark chocolate and I immediately scrubbed it off. However the scent still lingered around my skin so I went for Interlude to overshadow it and sprayed it 8 times. Now I’m probably gassing out everyone but at least don’t smell of this Arab shit. Never buy clones anons.

It’s hilarious. there was this other channel where they invited ATH to blind test some fragrances and in that case he was not able to say anything button vague descriptions like ‘it’s sweet/dark/pleasant’ no namedropping no nothing. His entire persona of a ‘chemist expert’ just fell apart. He’s clearly just an attention and approval seeking faggot who jumped on fragrance bandwagon because it became popular and could serve as an ideal outlet for his narcissism.

Amouage Figment Man (Holy shit anons, Amouage despite being an entry lvl niche house will never cease to amaze me. First of all Figment must for sure be VERY polarizing. I've sniffed ca. 1000 frags and this thing jumped in top 5 frags with the most personality I tried. The opening smells like being closed in a cage in zoo full of exotic large cats that sprayed themselves with Chanel Egoiste - the animalic cat note is dominant but you get some lemony-spicy-woody nuances. Soon after the note of damp soil as known from the OG Zootopian Bat takes over but you still get this absolutely unique animalic note and sweet geranium smoothens the smell making it an actual perfume not just a conceptual smell. This is the thing that I love about this smell. Despite being absolutely unique and having tons of personality it still remains a perfume in the first place, not an experiment or a technical showcase of skills of a perfumer. This is absolutely signature worthy for an eccentric or a person with a very strong personality who wants to make sure that they are going to be noticed from the very first second they enter the room and remembered for long.)

You misunderstood me. Maybe I was not clear enough: it's shit. It's a sweet, meek 'tobacco-boozy' synthetic scent without any qualities. I don't know what you can do for the saved 40 bucks. I have a question if anyone would be able to help. I use Chanel de Bleu parfum, and I'm looking into a good soap to use with it that doesnt have many chemicals because of a case of Keratosis Pillaris on my arms. I think I've read that a scentless soap works well because Chanel has a very unique and strong scent as it is, but I've also heard that using soaps with similar smells also works well. My brother recommended a brand called Dr. Squatch to me and apparently its made of natural stuff and its got a cedar and orange soap variety. Can anyone give me some insight?

First make a tiny incision on the underside of your forearm, sprinkle in some freshly cracked black pepper to ensure all olfactory molecules are captured. Then rub some octane on the incision, this will ensure the fragrance lasts for a long time, it is a widely used raw material. Then, finally, ignite a match and apply, only a deft touch is required as even a tiny amount of the sulphurous compounds carry a permeating fragrance. Pure bliss.

(optional step) - Rub the octane on all your other pulse points to dab with the original area of application, immediately after applying the smoky sulphurous compound, this will ensure you are thoroughly infused with the perfume!

Shalom!
