those torsion comps are awesome. late 80s-early 90s tennis style without looking retarded like the dad shoe trend. i got the original and the crayon colorway which ill post as well.

i was gonna get the white on white low top entraps but figured they looked more basketball than tennis so i ixnayed on them.

i also passed up the white leather sobakov p94s but im regretting doing so now. theyre really nice

350 originals are a really nice leather model. beats yeezys any day

I'm curious to see the AR trainer originak colorway. I really like them in all white, I have 2 pairs. The p94 are real nice and they come with some sexy waxed laces. The 350 is one of my favorite models from adidas. I have 3 pairs of them.

1 off pair of “Coast Star Professional” tennis shoes. Had 2 different people work on these. Started as a coast star and got trimm trab soles glued onto them. They’re supposed to be based on the “Tom Okker Professional” from the 70s

I'll post a little something to try to keep this thread alive. Now while I am rabid fan of the Ewing adidas models (Rivalry, Attitude,Conductor) I think the adidas Forum Wrap is one of the best renditions of their retro basketball high tops. I don't know if the panels on the wrap are how it was originally made or a reimagining of the shoe, but it strikes me as a very pure model of the forum. 1/?

The Wrap was released in 2017 looking very close to the original shoe from 1984 with some subtle differences. All superfluous logos were removed from the shoe. No trefoil on the "X", no ''adidas'' on the strap, just the iconic 3 stripes which serve as functional panels and the tongue logo, not just being am embossed trefoil into a square of blue premium leather.

The other key difference between the Wrap and all other forum retros was in the sole. The Wrap was given Bounce foam rather than EVA. This contributed to a subtle redesign of the sole. The sole looked more simple than that of the original forum, without the raised front lip and the plastic heel counter, both of those replaced with leather panels, giving the Wrap a distinc double mudguard on the front and a leather heel counter. 3/?

Finally the construction of the Wrap utilized premium leather. You can see original brown color from the side of every panel, which shoes you that this isn't your average retro Forum, but a love song for the original. A look through rose tinted glasses of how it should have been. A detail that is missing that strikes me as very saddening is the lack of the dilinger web on the inside of the sole. I always though it was one of the coolest details on a sneaker I've ever seen.4/?

I really like this colorway but I'm really into these. Really like that they included the nylon ribbon that goes over the toe area. The AR trainer feels like a very performance oriented shoe, I wouldn't be scared to play a match of tennis in a pair, the hold the foot really well.
