I inherently distrust people that spend a lot of time altering their appearance with things like makeup, clothing, hair gel etc. The person that just throws on a pair of basketball shorts and is comfortable enough with themselves to walk out the door is the kind of person I want to be around. Obviously a guy is always going to catch shit for going overboard, but even women that still style themselves contemporary but go extreme I view them the same way. I truly don't understand how people can wake up, look at themselves in the mirror, and say "I need to change all of this" and still have even a shred of self respect.

There are countless studies about how more attractive people are treated better, get better jobs, are more trusted, ect... Fashion (a.k.a. dressing well) makes your more attractive. It's not gonna make a that cecil guy look like a YSL model (or even human) but if you can dress well you can help yourself look better and get further in life. Unless you're already hot then do whatever you want and mog the rest of us.

Sure if you spend more than 30 minutes doing your hair and make up that's pretty conceited but it doesn't take much to dress well and look presentable. If you have any self respect you'd do this, it's basic hygiene and up keep.

You know dressing is fun right? Creating new looks can be a hobby and fashion isn't as shallow as you'd think. People that dive deep into it acquire quite a large knowledge base about the designs, the cuts, the fabrics, the silhouettes, tailoring, the designer, and a ton of other shit that can only be described as enthusiast. At the end of the day putting on certain garments can bring you joy. It's not all vapid unless you let it be.

people who wear basketball shorts for regular outings are just coomers. they like to feel themselves through the soft thin fabric and whip it out when no one is looking through their short's leg opening or just waist band. they can easily hide their chodes by quickly tucking it into the waistband or just conceal it with how loose they tend to be. i've never trusted a person wearing basketball shorts outside of the court. they're usually perving women and i've seen them stroke their meat at the library or sometimes on the metro. i've seen one dude shoot one out through their leg opening while making eye contact with me. left a puddle on the carpet and it was fucking gross.
