it would actually be less profitable for them to

Thoughts on the Vostok Europe as a brand and is $350 too much for the 2426-5605239? Vostok 2426 movement. With VE it always feels like you can get something better for the money, but I really like their "limousine" line. Great office watch.

vostok europe is different company from vostok proper
its kinda big (like all VE watches)
but i guess for a GMT it cant be helped.

the vostok gmt is only $80 and uses the same movement.
but $350 is not that much and reasonable for a watch if you like it. The other western consideration i can think of would be the glycine airman gmt, $500 using an ETA movement.

Yeah, I know all about them. I can read Russian as well and just checked their website. I don't think I'll ever wear a Vostok because it's too nautical themed for me, and I can't swim, and I'll never find myself on a more serious type of boat to justify it to myself as it will not look good in my surroundings. Another one I like, it's also available in brown strap/rose gold numerals.
