What do y’all think of designer belts?

Can be a nice piece to spice up a basic outfit.
But way to expensive for my liking.

pointless

Unironically the fucking dumbest shit ever.

5+ years ago I owned a LV belt, not even one with the LV buckle I might add, as well as a few other brands like Ferragamo. The main thing that I came to realise is that nobody gives a fuck what fucking belt you’re wearing. It’s literally throwing a load of money down a drain and giving it to somebody else.

I honesty think you should only buy them if you’re an actual millionaire or richfag

Dumb hype beast urban culture bullshit.
One of the few things that even iff you wear a cheap copy, it has the same effect, you look fucking dumb.

Goyard is the belle of the ball when it comes to leather goods so it's good, anything else is sort of waste, unless you are loaded.

theyre a dead/dying trend. Less flashy is favored now. Personally I think the Goyard belt in pic is the only one I still kinda wanna buy, but I recently Ive been way more fond of ferragamo's regular buckle belts. Just really nice looking leather and hardware, and a lot more grown up. Still throw on the hermes belt with a casual suit/jacket tho if im around new money.

OP should get a nice watch or nice pair of boots or loafers instead.

if you're using them as part of an outfit and not a stupid logo flex then yes

It will always be a stupid logo flex, but building the outfit, even partially, around a logo makes it somehow even worse.

The same thing I think about people that say "y'all".

not all designer belts have outwardly visible logos on them

elias made the hermes belt look good for a minute, but that's the exception not the rule

>> No.15491391

Honestly pretty cringe. Belts are great and it's good to have a nice belt with an outfit. But it being "designer" and costing a fortune is pointless and makes you look tacky.

>> No.15491405

Looks dope. Only poorfags who can’t afford it or who were too dumb/lazy to ever amount to anything in life consider it a “waste of money.” Girls do notice, especially if it’s something nice like an LV damier belt. Don’t get something stupid like that retarded yellow offwhite belt tho cuz that’s just cringe

A complete waste of money.

Next time I need a belt I'm copping a fake Hermes one from China for less than $100.
They're so easy to rep that imo retail designer belts are a waste (besides Goyard being obviously un-reppable to anyone who knows about the distinctions)

theyre a good way to accessorise with a simple fit especially if they match your style

I bought pic-related awhile ago and literally never wear it. They look fucking stupid and gaudy.

The single G gucci one looks quite nice with very casual outfits, but nobody sells it anymore. Hermes one looks tacky imo, shape needs to be cohesive/simple. I know it's overpriced, but it is nice.
