So I’m starting a new consulting job in a month
Usually the dress code is exclusively suits, but due to the pandemic, I’m not going to go to the clients as often, so I’m expected to wear “smart causal” clothing
How the hell can I dress this way without looking like a dweeb?

Pretty much dress shirts tucked into chinos/wool pants. Make sure they're not low rise. It's more reddit-tier, but buy some oxford shirts in white and blue and put on some navy trousers and you're set.

Idk, chinos, at least the baggier ones, tend to make me look like a rugby kid.
What’s a good place to get good ones in Europe?
Also, what kind of shoes can I wear? I guess white old skools or white Reeboks are a tad too casual, no?

Where to get more inspo like pic related? Clean smarty outfits like that with white sneakers but no shirt/jacket.

Did you graduate from an ivy? Is your starting salary 6 figures?

You've got Weekday, Uniqlo, maybe COS. Get them slim fit but with a high rise. I've been looking for a pair that fits like Dickies 874's but are higher quality myself.

For shoes I'd say get some derbies like dr Martens or better, Solovair. I've got a pair of black leather Clarks derby shoes that work as well and look better than their desert boots.

Graduated from a 1st tier school from a 2nd tier European country. I wanted to stay on my home city, so this gig is pretty neat. I researched quite a lot before getting the position and you don’t really have to come from an Ivy to get into an MBB in the US. Just come from a good uni, have good grades and nail the interview. Be an interesting person that’s not all about work and school. Being a musician and seeming passionate about it got me into the two firms I applied to, and I’m not that smart.
The salary is far from 6 figures, but in my country that’s pretty much impossible for a grad. I think that’s only the case I’m high COL areas in the us or if you go to Dubai or some shit.
The interview process is pretty much the same anywhere when it comes to these firms, so I can answer a few questions if you’d like.
