Was considering buying this shoe recently, dont know whether to choose between all black ramones or these.
This week on my youtube feed i click on a video by frugal aesthetic shilling a pair he bought. This naturally got me thinking if geobaskets and Rick Owens in general is/was the next objective stepping stone for 2017 era hypebeasts. You also see meme pages on instagram pushing this meme.

If you have to ask, its not /fa/, but im torn on deciding whether I should go for ramones instead, simply because of the fashion victim hivemind

i prefer the more outlandish colours of ramones that aren't seen on every explore page hypebeast introduced to rick through meme -pages. they can be more pricy than the standard ones though, and most likely will have to be bought pre-owned

OP here, in all honesty this silhouette has a lot of flexibility with exotic materials and different color schemes. It’s a shame that pairs similar to the images you posted are considered so underground, and the stock geos are currently on the way to being treated in the same fashion as Jordan 1s.

Personally if I got my hands on a pair, I would go for the standard, but wear them to the bone. Age gives it character, and it will look good not because of the fashion victim hivemind, but in spite of it

You sound like you really like them, and they're a great shoe. Definitely better than Ramones.
I'm really not a fan of the classic colorway though. So many ways to style it just look played out. Black or all milk would be far better, and a less rated color that goes well with your wardrobe would be even better than that.

I never liked Geos, but they're so past their prime at this point in the game; you'll look like try hard idiot to anyone who knows what they are...and like a literal clown in bloated clown shoes to 98% of the general population.

That said...if YOU genuinley like them...buy them. But they're about as far away as you can get from fashionable in the current year.


Tbqh, if you're looking for a dated, formerly hyped silhouette... Raf Vandals are the patricians choice. They still go with anything, lightweight, durable... just a solid go to everyday shoe.

I like em too feel like they'd only look cool with out there 80s and 90s fits hahaha like tell me Vanilla Ice in this outfit wouldnt look dope with some Baskets. Might be cool with baggy milsurp pants too idk.
