I don't think it'll happen, but I hope normies will stop being afraid to wear bright colours and weird, eye catching outfits in general. I'm going to keep wearing the style I want to wear anyway, so the one thing I wish for is for other people to do the same without being as self-conscious about how others perceive them. When it comes to fashion, the abnormal should be normalized.

Fashion will get more utilitarian since there'll be less of a budget overall for new clothes and people will want clothing that is easy to move in as they go from job to job and work long hours. Also, after quarantine, only the most fashion conscious and certain micro subcultures will go back to wearing uncomfortable clothing for the aesthetic value. The most elaborate looks will overtly be a form of escapism, with some people actively bringing roleplay into their personal style.

A few designers will try and start trends around ethnic fabric/designs but social media will call cultural appropriation and these looks will never entirely enter the mainstream.

We'll also see even more symbols used to indicate allegiance to online tribes. Custom patches, pins, t-shirts and other kinds of merch of course, but individual brands, cuts, and ways of wearing items are going to become more and more aligned with politics and aesthetics driven micro subcultures. The left will remain focused on punk and streetwear inspired looks while the right will dig their heels even more into vintage.

The hyper rich will continue on with minimalism as the wealth gap increases.

This shit worries me a lot. It was so easy to see what was coming for the next year since I can remember, now we have no idea what's next.

My biggest bet is 70's coming back, but it's only because it's being done already. I have a feeling that we also might experience some sort of 2005-ish short comeback.

However I still keep my hopes up that clothes merge with an architectural style and become more structured. I think(?) we've seen an advance in that that hasn't really caught on.

On the other hand, I wish that the "trendy" styles keep on glorifying blatantly disgusting shit like sunglasses with no frames, pocket chains and anything to do with adding metal on clothes.

A lot of women who used to be into travis scott and niggerwear are starting to listen to fidlar and other punk bands while basically dressing like late 2000s hipsters, and again wearing vans and 80s tennis shoes instead of those chunky monstrosities

As far as the OP pics are concerned, the sort of armors and banners used in Japan, various areas of China, Korea and Taiwan are massively different.
Not to mention the kind of patterns you see the guys wearing on the upper pic are pretty specifically japanese, same with the haircuts.
Had you been dealing with Korea or Northern/Central China they would have had braids or topknots, confuceans do not cut their hair and rely on braids and buns instead. You would have had different styles in South China too.
