Whats the most money you have spent on a single article of clothing?
What was it?
How much?

>> No.15380791

A Howlin sweater for 162 USD
I have spent about 300 on Red Wing Iron Rangers but boots are just expensive in general

>> No.15380849

>>15380756
$2800 on two made to measure suits for work. I work in finance and need to wear suits fairly often. It was well worth it. They fit great and are well made.

Second most expensive was probably $600 Ferragamo loafers.

>>15380756
260 USD for a second hand unused Reiss jacket. Don't know if worth it. At first I was scared to use it, didn't even want it to get moist. Now I've abused it by letting it get pretty wet in rain cause I was sick of feeling anxious about wearing it. It's better now, but it's seriously made me consider just wearing cheaper clothes. Means a lot to live less carelessly. Of course the big dick move would be to treat expensive clothes like shit.

>>15380859
same anon. If I dont count outerwear for skiing, my most expensive is probably just under $200 for a casual dress shirt I had to have.

I do have a $800 msrp parka though. Shell and liner are wearable together or separate. Bought the very last one of a mannequin for $100 lol.
My favorite (2) jackets, no doubt.

>>15380870
Yeah, I'm in the camp of, if you own a cherry vintage porsche, drive it. Hopefully if something is expensive, its because its quality, and if its quality, is going to age with grace... patina. That of course does not apply to a ketchup stain on your new white jacket.
Difference between living carelessly and accepting daily wear and tear.

The most I've spent was £150 on a pair of boots. These days I buy almost exclusively thrifted, vintage or second hand pieces because I don't want to contribute to the excessive waste that the fashion industry generates. A lot of my clothes are still designer because often people don't even realise the value of what they're selling, especially on sites like ebay.

visvim moc trainers in beige. Luckily there is a boutique near me that carries them so I just tried them on.
They definitely suit my style, never been this excited by a shoe. Might have to send it.

I worry about the light suede getting dirty. They certainly wont last as long as a black, smooth leather boot, but I imagine if I take care of them the suede will age with grace
