I have a short, well trimmed one myself and I'm pretty happy with it. It's pretty full for my age (19) and makes me look a lot manlier. My moustache doesn't quite connect to the rest of my beard though, but I have thick growth on my cheeks and chin so it looks more like an intentional style instead of a sōy beard.

I have like no chest hair and such but my beard is not that bad. It has decent coverage and it's not patchy but lacks thickness so can't really let it get longer than a week without looking ridiculous nor does it suit my pretty boy face.
It would be preferable for my face to be hairless because then I wouldn't have to shave every 3 days which is a hassle. I also think that facial hair looks generally funny on a wrinkle free face, just like a thick full head of hair looks tacky on the elder men unless one goes Gandalf mode.

I'm three months into a moustache and I know from the last time I grew my facial hair out more than 1/4" that, although the stubble looks dark, once it gets any length it's white. Not blonde, literally white. Looks fucking weird. So I've been keeping a few days of stubble everywhere else and letting the moustache grow (combing regularly and trimming strays of course). Unfortunately the only dye I could find that I feel comfortable using (grizzly mountain, mix of light brown and brown) Makes it darker than my head hair, which is a light brown (the light brown dye by itself is a weird brassy color that looks weird, the mix looks "natural" overall but not with my head hair). Some close friends have made comments on how it doesn't match, but I don't want to admit that I'm dyeing it and a lot of people's facial hair is a different color anyway. It looks alright now but when the sunlight hits it at the right angle it gets an almost purpleish maroon color. Anyone have any beard dye recs that aren't JFM?
