Modernized take on headbangercore

The top fit is utter shit in terms of period accuracy. The cutoff Metallica shirt in the 2nd fit is good but again, the pants are not period correct. Hair is also shit in terms of accuracy.

Here's the bottom line... it all looks good today. There was an old school metalhead boomerposter here a while back asking for feedback on his fits and hair recommendations.

My feedback: He was way too period correct. Never go full period correct. Only rare exceptions go full period correct. Stylists and focus groups tailor things with more modern fit (Goslings pants) and almost always maintain contemporary makeup and hairstyles to make the actors more attractive and marketable.

Full period correct Gosling would be wearing faded black Levi or Wrangler denim with a looser fit. Not ultra slim waxed moto-pants with tasteful bleach splatters at the ankles. There's also a 99% chance he'd have a mullet or long, straight, greasy hair. But...thats Not nearly as sexy. And exactly why you never go full blown period correct.

Pull retro inspo but incorporate contemporary elements and fit to avoid looking like you fell out of a time machine.
