Any older /fa/ggots have quality dress shoe recommendations?

For reference I’ll be working in banking so it seems like derbies are off the table. Loads of people seem to recommend Allen Edmonds park avenue but those seem dreadfully boring and a bit ugly.

Worked as well in finance a couple of years ago.

For me every workday footleather has always been

Charles Tyrwhitt, Scotland -mid priced

https://www.ctshirts.com/us/mens-shoes/

though hes mainly focused on shirts and suits, which are also pretty nice, he's got some very solid manufactured good looking shoes as well. Awesome service and consulting

LLoyds Shoes, Germany -mid priced

also pretty solid, especially their smart ice-spike clip system for winter season. Solid manufacturing as well, good service

Expensive Tier:

Fratelli Rosetti

BOSS

https://www.hugoboss.com/us/men-shoes/?select_rd=US

Armani

https://www.armani.com/us/armanicom/emporio-armani/men/all-shoes

Though you get some pretty nice deals from those three, the overall price wont go along an increase in quality. more or less its the same quality youll also get in the mid tier range, sometimes even worse.

Reminder: Never shop those brands in outlet stores because these companies know very well how to satisfy the lowlife cheap shoppers. Thats why they all have their own low quality production lines delivering stuff t the pleb markets.

Very high tier: Get in touch with a nice traditional cobbler/tailor, get measured while having a nice drink and chatter, choose material, choose style, pay, wait 2-3 weeks, ploff! best shoes

prices depend on country, city etc. but in general from 700us upwards. always nice to have some perfectly looking and fitting shoes. Opens up doors and pussy as well.

Then dreadfully boring and a bit ugly is your one and only option.

Park Avenues are captoed oxfords. I strongly dislike captoes but Allen Edmonds are a great brand and you can’t beat their recrafting service. I have a ton of them but my favorites are the Jefferson from the Independence Series and their Dalton Wingtip boots
