I've seen it on like 5 different instagram posts and didnt know if it was being shilled. I'll never afford it, but just thought it would be worth talking about since I'm not aware of any other watch that does the hours of the day indicator correctly.

i dont think its a tick between the 3 notches but a slow progression, you can see that the short hand is just before the middle tick; the middle tick just marks the halfway point between 3 month blocks

so right now its the 22nd of April. May would be the halfway point.

Bear in mind that solar Casio negatives are pure garbage if they aren't the newer Bluetooth models with the solar panel glass removed. You'll probably wind up returning it or live with squinting at the screen as you try and work it into the single angle it works at, and only in bright sunlight.

I think open heart watches are a meme, but I saw the non-cut off, lighter dial version up close in a shop and I really liked it to the point I seriously considered getting it. I really don't think it's worth paying almost a grand for it though. Still, it's really nice from up close.

Say no more, Max Bill, handwind version for about 400-500, and the auto for the double

Both of them have reliable movements, and are perfect for small wrists (around 34mm), and as you can see, the design is one of the best, looks modern but it was designed many decades ago.

For thin wrists you shouldn't go for over 40mm watches unless they are divers,sport watches or pilot watches.Going for oversized watches is tasteless, specially if you want something minimalist.

I just watched a rebroadcast of a program about a Japanese watchmaker on NHK World.
Masahiro Kikuno is an independant watchmaker who creates unique timepieces by hand with no computer aided machining. for Baselworld 2015, he created a complication for displaying an old form of Japanese timekeeping in which the length of the hours lengthen or shorten according to the axial tilt of the earth in relation to the sun in a given city.

nope, just watch out for the fact that women's watches are very often quartz or will have jewels (or fake jewels) somewhere visible. or they'll have a worse/cheaper movement.
if none of these are the case then no, as long as it looks fine it might as well be unisex.
also, 37mm is quite large for a formal women's watch. 36mm is not uncommon for formal watches so you shouldn't have any difficulties.

Good question, the answer is linked to calculating the value of a watch, something that's multifaceted. They can either hold personal value (bought during big personal events in one's life, inherited by parents etc), they can be required in certain work placements (upper management, law, etc) , or they can attain great resale value so some people see them as investments (the old Seiko Alpinist, Tudor Black Bay, etc, doubling in price in a decade)

Personally, I would never justify spending too much on a watch, unless I know I'm getting something out of it. Some people take loans just to buy a watch while working at macdonalds, I would never do that for example.

A watch doesn't have to cost a lot to hold value. The value is appraised and is dependent entirely on you. A 20 dollar Casio can hold as much value as a 150k dollar A. Lange & Sohne.

I really like the Hulk. It'd be perfect for summer, though I've got the concern that people will spot it as a fake Rolex, because the green is pretty iconic. I personally really don't care about brands, but I wouldn't feel perfectly fine wearing it. The black version is nice too, but standard and a bit boring.

I like the Black/orange mix very much. But I think 44-46mm are a bit too big. Plus it has no sapphire glas, just hardlex.
