I like knights and honor. Kinda cliche, but I've lived 99% of my life without lying cheating or stealing, and every day im closer to 100%. Not to give my whole life story, but I spent some time as a military officer and witnessed to many people (leaders and followers) that were two-faced, pretended to have good character but would betray, lie, and backstab just to cover themselves. So now I try to live my life being an example of what is right. For that reason, I've recently obsessed over knights and chivalry... even though some knights weren't true followers to an honor code.

If you're thinking of the Leviticus law that forbids ritualistic scarring and marking the skin that goes out the window with the advent of the new covenant so that's why Christians can get tattoos and eat pork/shellfish but the moral laws of the Old Testament remain such as the Ten Commandments, suffer not the witch to live, etc.

Yea that's my biggest problem with tattoos, people get them to "validate" themselves. Like when someone gets a "death before dishonor" tattoo but can't even define honor. Most people get them because they want to be cool and edgy.

I mostly want them so that when I look myself in the mirror every morning I can remind myself of the person I want to be.

Hard... very hard.

Armor to scale looks corny and bad and is just all around meme-core, depictions of knights is corny too, but try to think into more symbolism and things that are depicted during those times, look over tapestry’s and manuscripts and other art produced back then. Maybe look at tools and some of the trades back then for depuctions of equipment, but they may get corny pretty fast as well.
