Any poorfags in here ever try Everlane and can comment on how it compares to uniqlo?

I'm not trying to dress TIP, just a question about oxfords (I've had ct and didn't like them) and chinos in UK. It looks like my best options are either Uniqlo or Everlane.

I'm from the last thread, shirt looks good bro, you'll get a lot of wear out of it in summer I think

Belt looks v. cheap and a bit too wide, look for an English bridle leather one (good thick quality leather) maybe an 1" wide or so (perhaps 1.25"). Cords look alright, maybe not to everyone's taste. I think a thick wool jumper would round out this fit well, maybe in grey or navy

Ought to be working on your physique too in general as well, exercise and lifting never hurt anyone's fits

ye, it was bought for durability when i was a good bit heavier to keep my pants on. plans to slim down for summer again, i put on like 15 lbs from where i got to last summer trying to make sure my piercings healed as fast as possible. not sure on the weights tho, something about it makes me never inclined to stick it out.

ebay fine for belts i take it?

also, sweater wise im thinking something like this for autumn and winter when that rolls round.

The collar is actually unlined and soft, but it doesn't have button holes but instead hidden button plackets under the collar. They position the collar to be a bit too upright. It was an accident by the maker, I will probably try and have it fixed later on.

I agree with the crew neck, it is a tad wide. I can't really find proper small and tight crew necks that are also short and trim at the waist. Rubato is the closest, but the fit isn't quite perfect for me.

I think if one were to wear jeans, you'd go for a higher rise, a trim, slightly tapered fit, and just slightly cuffed to no (or little) break. Cream/white or stonewashed would be alright. This is just my opinion, jeans are somewhat controversial here (which they shouldn't be)

Since I don't really know many of the brands frequently mentioned here, I figured, I would ask if anybody here has something to say about some of the labels I see at the store I normally shop at:
>Hackett London
>Cinque
>Eleventy
>Tommy Hilfiger
>The Kooples
>LBM 1911
>Windsor
>Eterna
>Sandro
>Aspesi
>Profuomo
>Mason's
>Brax
>Berwich
>Joop
>Navyboot
>Strellson
>Tiger of Sweden

Some of these brands only make pants, some shirts, some suits, etc. I would just like to know if anybody has something to say about the quality of any of these brands.
In addition, they also have some stuff like Polo Ralph Lauren or Eton that are mentioned in pastebins and stuff more frequently.

The pieces I have seen were ok. MSRP was a bit overpriced, but they had a sale that 2 trousers were going for 120, which is not terrible. For little more than that you can get made to measure or even bespoke, though. The designs were good but they didn’t fit my huge legs.
>tommy hilfigher
Avoid van Heusen brands like the plague. Tommy, CK, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren. MK sometimes has some interesting shirt design, but they aren’t worth their value even at discount. RL is good for vintage, but new pieces are pretty mediocre. Also, RL has a different line of clothing dedicated to outlets that they also sell as regular Ralph Lauren. Those are even worse (although maybe it is not that big of a deal if you are buying nuRL) and flood places like eBay.
>berwich
Never heard of it. Berwick shoes are good, though.
>Eton
I think their shirts are good for what they offer, specially when considering the retail context that they are in. I have seen nice oxford shirts with canvassed cuffs and collar going for €80. Next to it was some shitty cutaway shirt with fused cuffs for 90, though, so there is some variation.

Hi, new here. I'm just guessing this is /suits/ or something. Can I wear my blue suit to a funeral with a black vest, white shirt, and black tie?

>> No.15071851

It's not necessarily /suits/, it's more dressing in the style of. Actually just read the links in the pastebin of the OP. I don't want to explain it. I would say that any dark suit is ok to wear to a funeral. Navy suit is my go to for when I didn't necessarily know the person who died but still want to look respectful.

Some questions about lacoste polo shirts from someone who isn't trying to be TIP.
I have wide shoulder/chest and smaller waist because of lifting.

I am struggling between getting more classic fits or paris fits, long or short sleeve.

I like the tonal croc on the paris a lot because I feel that it is just more appropriate with some outfits, and the tighter fit may be better for tucking the shirt in but I hate that it's stretchy material and the buttons aren't visible.
I have a classic size 6 (XL) right now and it fits good except for the body and sleeves which are fucking huge but maybe I should just go with that or size down.

How good is Meermin? I want to get some loafers, but they price of sub 200 is kind of concerning.
Are they either the ultimate steal for costing so little, or are they poor quality and hence the price?

They are good. Their premium line is even better, of course. I own a pair and it's only issue is a tiny opening on the welt. Leather is good and usually traceable to a specific tannery. Can't comment on the loafers as mine are oxfords.

I don't think they ship to the US, but send them an email. You might be able to use some of those mail proxy services to ship to the US (I don't know any because I have never used them, but they exist). Tallsem might be closed right now, because of the quarantine, it started today.

>Berwich

Italian company that makes trousers, they're good quality, pricy but inferior to Incotex or PT01.

>Eleventy

garbage overpriced stuff, not fully hand-made, they mostly focus on loud patterns

>Aspesi

their outerwear and knits are good but overpriced, everything else is uninspired and not hand-made

>LBM 1911/Lubiam/Luigi Bianchi Mantova/L'8

hit and miss. Some of their RTW higher hand blazers and sport coats are mostly hand made and half-canvassed, made with italian fabric and thus pretty ok, overall design/style is inferior to Lardini and Tagliatore though (both roughly in the same price range, with Lardini being a tad more expensive).
