Vans do look good, but those ones are extremely overplayed. I've seen them on almost every other highschooler in the mall. The ones you posted are a tad bit different because of the checkered print, but don't get them if you're trying to be /fa/ or unique cause everyone else has a pair just like that in their closet.

If you're going with Vans I would go for the Half Cabs. They're unique and have a really nice style to them.

Yeah but I fucking hate the checkerboard print. A lot of Vans are pretty solid, basic and cheap shoes. Very wide color variety to mix and match, they're great for spring & summer. Popular in Japan and I think South America

I bought the og black and white with gum soles the other day. They look good, but they hurt like a bitch the first couple of hours I wear them. They don't warm up until like 3 or 4 hours and then they get comfortable or I become numb to the pain, I don't know which.

I never wore either (outside of the store) before. I was actually planning on picking up a pair of NMD R1 V2s or Ultra Boost 20s that day, but when I took a closer look at them, fucking glue EVERYWHERE. I had the guy bring out another pair of both and it was the same issue. I mean I know the shoes are cheap to put together, but god damn. It was disgusting.

I ended up buying a pair of triple black Air Max 90's a few days later to wear most of the week as the vans wouldn't cut it daily. Those feel like heaven in comparison.
