As a millennial «fe»male who looks like a zoomer male, I declare myself an expert on anti-aging as well as fashion because I have chosen to dress myself in both millennial «and» zoomer fashion as to blend in.

If anybody dare to seek advice for anything board-related, come to my thread because you will not need another thread after this one.

(Also I am not chihuahua boy in picrel before anybody says so).

This is probably the most /fa/ mode available right now... but that doesn't qualify you to be an expert. What qualifies you to be an expert?

I love threads like these. I am a buyer for a decently popular clothing store in the US and a part-time stylist. If you've seen an unnecessarily long reply in one of the "help me i'm new" type threads, there's a not insignificant chance it was me. I will pop back in here later on and try to offer my own assistance as well.

I would say the differences are in large exaggerated by the age difference between older millennials and younger gen z. Naturally people will often begin to dress a little more reserved as they get older, but gen z is proving to be more experimental than millennials ever were. Being raised in an age were fashion lives online, rather than through your peers, has caused gen z to lose regional style differences and trends to move at an alarming rate. I don't think one style can be labeled as either generation's, but rather the attitude towards clothing in general seems to be vastly different.

Hard disagree. Don't you remember the scene kids? They were dying raccoon like stripe patterns in their hair and most people got their fashion inspo off MSN profile pictures. Sure a lot of them looked like emos who made peace with the concept of colors but a lot of them looked straight up like chimeras. Though I can see that clothes are a different tool than they were 30-40 years ago, trying to look different and "experimental" has always been a thing and will always be. The only thing moving is the goalposts!
