I got my Naomi Goodsir samples this week, I've tried 2 of the 5 so far:

>Bois d'ascese
Super smoky opening, like a campfire just put out, very dark and intense. The opening lasts for 30 minutes to 1 hour, and then after that it mellows out and the incense starts to come out. Incense is not one of the listed notes, but it's definitely there, and it really did remind me of a catholic church. If you compare it to L'Artisan Parfumeur's Passage D'Enfer, I would say BDA is a wooden church, whereas PDE is a church made of stone, more damp and with no circulation. CDG's Avignon, for instance, is a sweet incense, the scent opens wide and feels full of air, you want to take a deep breath of it. BDA is definitely not sweet, and it feels almost opressive and claustrophobic. There's also a strong labdanum scent, and the smokiness never really goes away.

>Or du Serail
It opens with a blast of sweet fruit, it reminded me of some brand of yoghurt I used to eat, like red berries yoghurt. After a while the sweetness calms down a bit (although it's still there) and I could smell the honey-tobacco, it's a really nice blend. Though the scent is nice, it feels a bit harmless, I was expecting something with a bit more of a punch. Good projection for the first 4-5 hours, after that it turns into a skin scent. I remember not liking TF TV, but this tobacco is really nice, although again, I would prefer something stronger.

I don't want to sound condescending but you could try any other mall-tier designer fragrance desu. If you want to go deeper and explore possibilities then start smelling different stuff and buy samples of things that you like before buying a bottle. If you just want to get a daily driver that will not offend anyone and don't look any further into fragrances then I think Sauvage/Dylan Blue/Bleu de Chanel are all better choices than YSL Y. L'Homme line of YSL is also quite good but not worth the money given that the scent is gone after like 2 hours. You'll smell to everyone like their coworkers/brothers/ex-boyfriends though.

The other time I was ordering perfumers alcohol from PellWell I also got some ingredients just to qualify for the free delivery. I got benzoin, fermenich oud, iso-e super and PA. Mixing fermenich oud with iso-e and PA was quite okayish but made me realize that there's more to making fragrances than just mixing oils with PA; if you want to have anything borderline good you must add solvents, carriers and all that bullshit. At the end of the day for making something half-decent and more complicated than your own Molecule 01 you can't escape some organic chemistry.

Anyways, what's /frag/'s concensus on Code Profumo?
I love the bottle but only tried it on skin once a long time ago.
The store I go to to test frags got robbed over christmas so I doubt they're open next time I'm in town...

Bats only sleep in caves, they dont spend their whole life there. When they are awake, they leave. To never emerge from your cave is to miss the point of not just a bat, but of life itself.

Smelled the new D&G the one intense on one of those perfume strips that come in magazines where you break the seal and smell the strip. It’s not fully accurate but gives you the gist. Fruity sweet spicy. Not bad but not great. Jeremy gave it more praise than it deserves. Doesn’t top the one edp at all. We all hoped for a stronger the one edp and got a fruity fruit banger. Totally different fragrance.

What’s the consensus on Mugler Cologne since the name change? Is it reformulations or just the same stuff in a different bottle? If it’s the same I’ll get a 300ml because it’s a top 5 fragrance for me.

Are you the review anon? I've tested all of Goodsirs frags. Bois d'ascese is just too much for me. It's probably the single one more punchy smoke fragrance among them all (maybe on par with Profumum Roma Arso).
Or du Serail is fucking based and lasts on my skin for 12h+ (which is unusual). Great tobacco I agree.

Let me take you on a journey, friend. You’re on vacation in San Francisco, you return to your hotel but have forgotten your room number. You walk into the room of another guest by mistake. Immediately upon entering, you notice that a bunch of sweaty men are fucking on a bed shaped like a giant martini glass covered with sequins. YMCA is playing on a loop on the room’s sound system, a disco ball hangs from the ceiling, a large TV displays episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race. John Waters is sitting on a chair in the corner sipping a cosmopolitan.

Ultra Male is gayer than that room.

Thoughts on spraying one wrist with Bee and the other with The One EDP (maybe twice to balance silage) then smashing then together and rubbing really quick to create Bee The One, the ultimate niche-designer for myself/for women hybrid? Is my mind too powerful?

Yeah, no one in this tread claims contrary; it's good if you're a guy in high school or something. If you're older then this juvenile sweet vibe reminds me of 40yo dudes wearing chucks and full-caps.
