then just get one bro! who cares what others think, its a neat design and is functional for the most part. Just make sure your pants have big belt loops because often the buckle wont fit through smaller ones.

If you think they look cool, then get one and enjoy it. All you'll do here is let some anon who likely is a teenager who likes like total ass put you off them and ruin your enjoyment of something you like the look of.

They are cool with the right fit, like street or techwear. Obviously odd with some suit.

They're knock offs of the alyx rollercoaster belt which is a knockoff of a conceal carry weapons belt utilizing cobra buckles, which are repurposed pistol belts worn with body armor.

Alyx co-opted this with the chest rigs they did which are plate carriers minus armor insert ...

So if you wear one and don't have guns it will be pretty pathetic.

Also don't buy any Chinese ones, only buy with legit austrialpin cobra buckles.

I have this China belt too and the paint chipped on the pot metal buckle. Doesn't look so good anymore.

i can attest to this too. the paint is chipping and im kind of tempted to somehow polish it to be silver. luckily i only paid $8 from some china ebay seller so i don't really care and got my use out of it.

I have a real one (silver) and a bootleg (black) made by my gf out of parts found online before the fakes became common.
the buckles feel EXACTLY THE SAME

go ahead and buy a fake, you won't be missing anything except different text on the buckle

>> No.14988744

Just buy an actual milsurp one, it's the best quality belt iv'e ever owned.

If some kid makes fun of it for being "fake alyx", call them fake for buying soulless trendy garbage instead of durable practical clothing.

I recommend the 5.11 brand. The alyx one is 3 times as expensive and significantly worse in quality.

5.11 isn't surplus.

And the US military never adopted cobra buckles.

The ones you see on Navy seals and shit are civillan stuff they are cleared to use because they can do whatever they want

so, taking quality into account, it's best to pay a bit more for something like a klik belt?

>> No.14989312

I got one for like $2 on aliexpress. Kind of pain in the ass but it looks alright.
