Got a 1970 dated G1 I need to replace the knit parts and zipper on. The goatskin material is stiff, as expected of jackets of this type, but I can't help but think I should add some oil since it feels dry and is flaking in some areas. Any recommendations?

I'm thinking it's a good year to wear flight jackets since the new top gun is coming out. I'm already planning a Top Gun costume for this halloween since the parts are common where I live since it's so close to a navy base.
